that's what's called a defensive stance... allows you to pounce when you have to contest and get your hands on the ball when the offensive player is dribbling.. that's what you're supposed to do unless you want to defend flat footed
@brandonnguyen6053
@brandonnguyen6053 8 жыл бұрын
+ohdaUtube he just means that he should have used his height as an advantage.
@ohdaUtube
@ohdaUtube 8 жыл бұрын
+Brandon Nguyen height is used to contest shots... who gets up further, someone in a flat footed stance or someone with bent knees... you get more hands on the ball if you're lower as well...
@trungasi
@trungasi 8 жыл бұрын
Your right but at the same time everyone knows to defend and keep up with quicker players on the perimeter you have to bend your knees. The problem is if your taller you go for the contest not the steal lmfao. The problem wasnt this guy bending his knees, its that he didnt contest, he kept up well enough and if he just wouldve stuck his hand out he wouldve missed some shots.

@MrPhantomBlow
@MrPhantomBlow 9 жыл бұрын
***** What the fuck are you even talking about? It's not about 'being good enough' to play, streetball is something completely diferent, it was created to entertain people with fancy moves and stuff. NBA rules don't apply to streetball (some of them), therefore it's not an actual 'excuse', it's a part of game itself.

Sachin Johri yes it is an NBA rule, and it doesn't apply to streetball in the same way it applies to the NBA or any other league.

I see these comments on like all his videos. It's called STREETBALL! It's a more flashy style of basketball so some of the moves look like double dribbles but if you look closely it's not.
@ic8575
@ic8575 10 жыл бұрын
Classicgaming101 In regulation basketball it would be called a double dribble by definition. Streetball has more ambiguous "rules", I get it and that's fine. The point of streetball isn't really to be a sport anyway... it's more like figure skating or gymnastics.
