I can peel these prawns easily. What I find much harder is peeling their much smaller cousins we call brown shrimp. I love the taste of these, but it takes a great deal of patience to peel enough for a mouthful.

Lets put the record straight for our American friends... Prawns are the larger of the two Crustaceans, whereas Shrimp are their smaller cousins. If you want to go all scientific, then Dendrobranchiata is a suborder of decapods, commonly known as prawns, where there are around 500+ different species. Prawns have three pairs of claw-like legs, while shrimp have only one pair ( Pleocyemata) and are considerably smaller. I hope this clears it up. And the Aussies are correct in this case calling them Prawns.
