Profiles host Mickey Burns interviews legendary singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka in this 10 minute episode teaser. Over the course of his illustrious career Sedaka has composed more than a thousand tunes, many of them evolving into major pop hits. Some of Neil's classics include, "Oh Carol," "Breaking Up is Hard to Do," and "Calendar Girl." And he's written chart toppers for artists such as, Tom Jones, Connie Fransis, and The Fifth Dimension.
Neil Sedaka got his start as a songwriter in New York's Brill building alongside composers Burt Bacharach, Neil Diamond, and Carole King. In the early 60s, Sedaka went solo and quickly sold over 40 million records. Today, after five decades in the music business he's celebrating the release of his latest album, "The Music of My Life."
