I used to do this all the time repairing garage door openers fo Sears. The craftsman was made by chamberlain but the genie’s were a little bit harder

Hello I programmed the opener fob it opens garage door but when I press again so I can shut door it won’t only rises door open

It's hard to know what's going on without being there. Is there anything blocking the garage door sensors? Even something as small as a spider web can alert the lasers and prevent the door from shutting. I have another video on my channel about setting the travel limits on the actual door. Possibly that will help? (It's one of my first videos and pretty bad, but the information is good. lol)

Is there anything breaking the lasers, even a cobweb will do it. Another thing to check is that electric is supplying the door opener and something isn’t tripped. Does the battery in the remote need changed?

The overhead opener does not have a program button. You can see the red light but there is no program button

No. It shouldn’t because in our house we have three drivers. I purchased this remote for myself and it has both garage doors in duplicate on mine. My kids each have a remote with both sides too.

My problem is that when I program my second garage door opener it wipes out the memory of the first remote.

Maybe remove the battery from the first one while programming the second one?

Hey You say to program another remote for same garage you have to hit the second button? On my original 2 remotes I use the exact order. I will try removing the batteries because it's getting frustrating.

@@fishstinks6122 Hi! In my demonstration, I programmed two different doors on one remote. The door on the left was the first button, the door on the right was the second button down. If signals are getting mixed between two different remotes, then possibly removing the battery from one (while progressing the other) might work.

The battery might just need replaced but you might’ve checked that already.
