I'm enjoying the app so far. One request: using MIDI to switch between song parts. When I'm songwriting/jamming on my guitar, using a MIDI foot switches to change song parts would be very helpful.

Great update Paul. One feature request I’d like to see implemented, if you decide to continue updating this app and if it is possible within a host app, is for the song sequencer mode window to be completely detachable so that the main app could be closed but one could still follow along with the structured song while working on other apps. As it is now when the app window is resized for an unobstructed view of the rest of the host, the song window gets too small. Alternatively, an export function that would create a synced pdf style chord chart. I know this would be a doable as another app I have creates the same from songs on the net after searching the name of the song. I think this addition would just make the app much more practicable when the human is in “ live jam “ mode.

It would definately be nice to be able to output the chord palette and song in one format or another, and I will look into this. It isn't possible to sparn another via inside a host app but will give it some thought.

One small request: could you update digikeys to accept incoming midi chords from Progressions and have digikeys “key change” it’s patterns in sync with Progressions. Thanks for all your apps

Hi Paul-I'm just watching this latest video, with the new song parts pop-up. Gives me two related thoughts. 1. Could you make it so that those song parts can be moved around in the sequence of parts to accommodate different approaches to song/track composition? And my second question: could also maybe think about adding the song structures more familiar from EDM and dance music, eg, breakdown, drop, intro and outro, and all the rest?
@PaultheMusicMan2 жыл бұрын
In this video I cover how to rename song parts and drag and drop them to new positions. This includes changing the order or your song structure within the conductor.

how can we export the entire song into logic as midi stems etc. sir
@PaultheMusicMan2 жыл бұрын
I would think you just load it as a plugin and record the output. Since I don't own an M1 Mac I can't try it myself.

@@PaultheMusicMan thanks paul sir for your response. I also do not have an M1, but it is working in garageband with alchemy.

@@saafindia You can load Progressions as an instrument inside GB and record the MIDI output. This can then be dragged to any other instrument track.

Hey Paul, when constructing songs with multiple instances of progressions, I sync the pads and the song chain information. I don't sync arps/strum because my multiple instances trigger different instruments with different patterns. The problem is that sync'ing the song chain information also sync's the style. This is a problem because on my bass instance I use ArpA, but on a guitar channel I use StrumA and on a synth I might use ArpB. When I sync the song chain info all the Styles get set to the same. How do I sync song chords and durations but not styles?
@PaultheMusicMan11 ай бұрын
Ok, this is rather complicated and difficult for me to fully appreciate. On the second instance of Progressions if you long press the Styles button you get an option to Clear Styles from all song parts on that instance, then you can add them again. Alternatively select the correct a song position, select a preferred style, then press the style button to overwrite. To clear a style select the song part with the unwanted style, press the Style button. Maybe I'm not fully understanding your problem.

@@PaultheMusicMan Hi thanks for coming back to me. I think you understand my issue well enough. I understand your work arounds. If I have 4 tracks each with an instance of Progressions each time I need to sync a change to the song be it chords, duration, or conductor arrangement I would have to re-do all the styles on the other 3 tracks. I'm always going to want to sync song info but I'm never going to want to sync the styles. Instrument parts will always follow the song arrangement but they'll almost never have the same midi patterns. Typically, I generate multiple random ones for each instrument so I can go between them to see which one I like or replicate and edit slightly. Ideally, for me, it would be great if there was a setting to NOT sync Styles when syncing song information. Otherwise, I'm loving the app!! Thankyou!!

@@SoundtempleMusic Ok, I understand now. I think that is an improvement I can make to the sync process in a future version of the app. I will add it to my list!

This is a realtime AUv3 MIDI plugin which can be recorded intto other apps, but it doesn't record therefore doesn't export stems.
