I love this! I'm a born and raised Baptist, and I actually like that he mentioned Christianity. He makes a point. So many Christians today are so disconnected from their "belief". Half can't even explain the Christmas story. He simply pointed that out. I think Jon also pointed out so many social issues that should be addressed (discrimination, rasicm, abortion, evolution). Christianity wasn't the only thing debated. It's also a testimony to how much our society has evolved over the years. These are the issues now compared to how they were seen in the past. In America, when they creating the government, there was a debate on how much having slaves should count towards the population count to determine seats in the House of Representatives. As States with lots of slaves, the South wanted each slave to add another vote for their owner. This way, they could get more seats and have more power in the gov. As smaller States with much less slaves, the northern States didn't want them to count, because of the power it would give the South. Eventually, it was decided that each slave would count as 3/5 of a person. Tl;dr it's a reference to the American government, slavery and racism.
