@@roscowbrown3937 Let’s start on the topic referencing what I said in my comment. Are you presupposing that concrete scientific findings are inherently at odds with the revelations/teachings found in the Bible? If so, then what findings, and how is this a refutation that at the same time accounts for Biblical exegesis? In order to not misconstrue the Bible, wouldn’t it be optimal to adopt a critical exegetical framework for the interpretation of the Bible?

@@Wolfi-The4th If you think that scientific discoveries don’t contradict the Bible, then I guess my questions for you are 1) How old do you think the world is? Would you say it’s closer to 4,000 years or more like 6 billion years? 2) How did we, as living beings, get here? Do you think God created all of us, or do you think certain living things evolved from others? I think that, if we were to be against the LGBT group, and we’re using the Bible as our reason to do it, we should first prove that book is true… because it’s not so much about exegesis as much as truth

@@roscowbrown3937 Well for one, we do need the word of God. Humanity rejecting God has led to millennia of depravity, war, and corruption. Also no one innocent. We’ve all sinned and fallen short of God’s standards of morality. Not to mention it’s hypocritical of you to say you’re against discrimination, yet you’re being discriminatory towards Christians for them merely adhering to the principles of their faith. And also we do have evidence of God’s existence. The fact that there’s an order to creation which couldn’t have possibly have happened randomly as atheists believe. There were scientific truths in the scriptures that the people of God had knowledge of centuries before the rest of the world found out about it, as shown by Ray Comfort. The archaeological evidence such as the slab proving King David and his lineage existed, which would include Jesus, artifacts proving the existence of Canaanite culture, a scientist proving that the parting of the Red Seas was possible. Non Christian sources confirming Jesus Christ existed in ancient Israel’s culture and more. There’s plenty of evidence for God’s existence, and thus we’re accountable to him.

@@KingNazaru Depravity, war and corruption are not caused by rejecting God. God’s standard of morality doesn’t matter until we prove he exists. It’s not hypocritical to “discriminate” against discrimination, that’s stupid and you know it. What if my faith told me that you and your kind of people don’t deserve rights, would you want somebody like me around? You don’t get to assert that creation has an order which couldn’t happen randomly, and if you are, you have to prove who created God… if he doesn’t need a creator, neither does the universe. Mr. Comfort has not only been very vocal about his rejection of science, but he always misrepresents it on Living Waters as well. Jesus may have existed, but did he really do any of the magical things accounted for by the Bible? @@user-bluetopaz777 This was a parable that I would just read and I knew, but the Holy Spirit has taught me to slow down and look at the specific words written. I believe this parable has to do with Jesus' first and his second coming. The Israelites knew through the prophets that there was a Messiah to come (The initial invitation). Yet for many of them, once the Messiah (Jesus) came they refused to believe in him. They were even given a second opportunity, but carried on as before. The King (God) decides that the feast is not going to waste, everything is prepared. Jesus has come, and he will come back there is no changing that. So the people that originally were not invited to the feast are invited. The key word is invitation. An invitation will usually have a date, time, location and sometimes even a dress code. It will explain the event, whether it is a wedding or birthday party, if it is in a park or banquet hall. If the event is at a park in the summer you might where a t-shirt and shorts, if it is at a fancy restaurant, then a dress or suit would be appropriate. The servants went and invited everyone no one was left out (Gentiles). It is safe to assume that there would be time to change, or that would be discussed with the servants. The man who gets thrown out did not change, and had no answer when the king asked why he wasn't properly dressed. There is no reason to try to enter the kingdom of God with worldly baggage, or living. When you accept the invitation of salvation, there is a change that needs to happen you. You become a new creation. You put on the "wedding clothes," meaning you walk in the spirit and bear the fruit of the spirit. You do the Lord's will. Quick detour, there are people that try to make it seem like if Jesus didn't say it, then it doesn't count, but Jesus said time and time again to do God's will. Jesus gave two commands and the only one people who still live for the world like to say is to love others, but the first command is to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind. Back to the point. You cannot still live like you did when you were in the world, this includes sexual promiscuity (anything that is sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman), foul language, lacking forgiveness and more. God opened up salvation to everyone, but not everyone met the criteria to enter the kingdom. I pray that this make sense I know I wrote a lot. God bless you and thank you for asking.

You can read it yourself, its pretty clear on gay marriage and also not only is an argument from silence literally a fallacy but if you are going to make that argument the fact Jesus didnt *correct the jews on their stance* tells you all you need to know. 0:40 well yes, really good tasting wine after everyone is far too drunk to even taste it, so they miss out on experiencing the taste of the wine. Maybe there was a point there other then "hey lets get more drunk" as if Jesus was some frat bro. 0:54 If you would actually read the text it doesnt say "you should not be judgmental" to an extent what does that even mean? He says to be careful in *how* you judge. 1:02 Let me correct that with something Jesus actually said "they say if you dont like someone you married you should get remarried, I say we look to Genesis for what marriage looks like" (essentially) which guess what you see in genesis... Oh yeah a man and a woman. 2:06 And the very next verse "such as where some of you" past tense. Just something to note. 4:10 to be more specific attributing that which you know to be from God to the devil. If you look at the context that's a very important distinction.

Yeah, he’s very wrong to teach that false doctrine. Anyone can twist Gods word and make it say something it’s really NOT saying. The one thing that don’t happen to most professing Christians is they are never Born-again. And when that happens, the author of the Bible: the Holy Spirit, comes and lives inside you and you are a different person and reveals the truth of scripture. God gives you not only the desire to obey him through the Holy Spirit, but the power through the Holy Spirit.

Nowhere in the New Testament is the word eros used. Philos or friendship among believers and agape or unconditional love are, but not the Greek word for romantic love. When Paul is writing about that in 1 Corinthians, it's not what you think it means. They did not understand homosexuality as an orientation. I think in general the word comes from aresenokoitai. Basically back then you had a social totem pole where the dominant male would take a penetrating position and the other would take a passive penetrated position like the woman. What is frowned upon in Jewish Culture is when free born men would take the passive position, this is the issue. You would be lowering/debasing yourself to the status of a woman. This is the thing Paul is writing about and note that in these passages they are referring to men. Not women. The Romans passage is referring to being filled with lust. The Bible and the people's understanding of sexuality when they wrote it did NOT condemn being gay or gay acts as a sin. The Bible as we understand it today is not the same understanding or meaning as when it was written.

@@dijahsyoutubechannelFor those who believe their own lies to be truth, are simply in self-deceit. There's clear contrast between the two. The Bible is not about manipulation, in fact, it's core message is about the gift of salvation. GIFT. As in something offered that the recipient doesn't necessarily have to accept. To you, this is manipulation? You're mistaken. A lot of people believe that life has no true purpose or meaning and that everything simply leads to the grave. Nothing after death, just the cold ground. Just because these people believe it and affirm it as the reality of human existence, it doesn't make it true. Additionally, there are others who think their ancestors are monkeys or brainless, single-cell organisms. Also, we now have transgenderism, transpecies and the like. When does the delusion stop? Of course, without God, there's no reason to stop. No reason to question. For everything then becomes permissible. That is the manipulation. To make people believe that their actions have no consequences, simply because they believe it so. As mentioned at the start, that's self-deceit.

It’s a text meant for generations though, that’s why God has assigned people to help us understand it. And this is where all the conflict comes in. Because the devil still has authority here on earth. Which means there will always be sheep in wolves clothing and people inevitably following that wolf into damnation. But when you develop a real relationship with God and actually read the Gospel for yourself. The Holy Spirit helps you filter through these false “manipulations” you speak of.
