A small step back from my expectations. These guys were clearly on a path to lunar exploration. But heck who doesnt need a back saving plant hole digger. Nice job!

Check out precious plastics. They have plans and a professional extruder screw
@aion2177
@aion2177 3 жыл бұрын
i bet it doesn't work if is that deep. it will create way way to much force on your motor. but in case it works please let me know. I want to be proven wrong. An extruder screw like the one used by precious plastics for example, has much more shallow grooves, and as such the force required is much less. Because it only takes little material at a time. If would take too much, without a strong enough steel, the torque force will break the screw. So for example mild steel might not work for this reason :)

I am a great admirer of you! I can watch your videos over and over again.This is certainly something I would do in my next life. Not that I am that old (77) but I will have to start earning money for the equipment. Now I'm jealous. Anyway, just to let you know that you give me inspiration! Thanks!

Whats the purpose for outer ring and spring?
@manickn6819
@manickn6819 5 жыл бұрын
@@baazigaj9125 outer ring keeps the soil contained when the auger moves up and down or the soil will collapse in. Especially the loose soil he shows. The spring causes the auger to come back up on its own when pressure is released so he does not have to pull it up.

hello, man. When I watched your first video, I knew you were from cyprus. Dry soils, Mediterranean climate. You made a garden, but where do you get the water? Same my garden water problem. Hands on health. But this time it was a little easier to invent. You're a man of hard work all the time. Greetings from Turkey

Needs a spike connected to the sleeve or maybe a rib/tab to keep it from spinning. I guess you could do it with a handle from the sleeve to up by the drill as well.
