Merry Christmas mate. Great video per usual! Anyway I’m pretty sure the wings have to come off as they hide the alarm siren what the 1.8 loom will have. And the carbon canister set up will be slightly different that’s also hidden behind the wing. Don’t take my word for granted but I had to take my wings off when changing the loom from a 1.4 twinport to a 1.8😁

James, pretty sure the engine flange on centre pipe of the exhaust is different, so will need to change the centre pipe too. Just incase ya didn't know :) Hope you had a good Christmas too tho!

Actually surprised you didn't go for the 1.4 Turbo engine @200hp. It's the route I'm going for with my Tigra Twintop. Also swapping out the drums for discs, and using the Tech2 to switch the ESP on. In fact my only concern is whether the brain will chat to the engine okay. Experimental at the moment. Engine should be a straight swap in. The gearbox, however, needs more research.......

this is going to help me out i have a vauxhall combo c 2012 1.3CDTI from the seats to the headlights its the same as a corsa c doors and windscreen are bigger my bcm is leaking so im going to remove it all and seal the box to the metal then the lid to the box.

Vauxhall Mad be careful if there’s a fault with the bcm the last one I had with a fault I thought was due to water ingress but it was in fact a broken wire in the wiring loom to the module.

G JM the vans only 5 years old don’t think it will have any broken wires I’m more worried about water getting into the relays and wiring harness

Vauxhall Mad, usually the lid is what will be leaking, I took mine off my 2004 corsa and I could see the gap in it clearly. I put a new lid in and it's been fine since.

Can I ask why a 1.8 and not a z20let or ler? Is it because the less modification the better i.e stock mounts shafts hubs etc etc thanks

Virulent wanted my first engine upgrade to be a fairly simple one, and is cheap :) once the channel has taken off a little more I'll get a zlet on the go

It was great to talk to you via Instagram last night . Can't wait for the z18xe being fitted now has it come with a abs pump as I did wonder why you removed the factory fitted one. ecat24.com/opel/catalog/models/1 is a fantastic place to get part numbers. Would have been handy with the vin number as it would have told you what was fitted when it left the factory but with the engine change that's of no help to you now
