I'm running all over New York State supporting Children's Heart Foundation! As of Fulton County on 01 Jan 25, I'm 58.1% complete with the state!
Notes:
Started at the hotel, working west on Main Street until I got to the FJ&G trail (Fonda, Johnstown, & Gloversville). Town sidewalks were wonky, and the only big hill was approaching the path. Headed north on grey cold day until 6mi/9.6km mark, back towards Johnstown, crossing Main for a final mile on the south part of the trail. It started to mist on the way back. Quite a few intersections, on a busier day or time it could be treacherous. Fully paved, quite clear, just watch your step. Towns were maybe once industrial? Many closed or abandoned buildings amongst the residential which appeared decades old.

I am running 62 half marathons, one in each NY state county to benefit the Children's Heart Foundation. They endeavor to fund promising research for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the most common birth defect: of the heart.

This is the most fascinating running channel on KZbin. Keep up the good work, Michael. I binge watched your videos almost twice now, and I am not that crazy. Haha. Anyway, I am just getting into advanced running and I enjoyed watching your progression throughout the years. I did my first long run of 13 miles at a mile pace of about 10min with huge elevation gain and was so proud of myself as I wanted to quit couple of times, especially before a steep 150ft climb. But I held through and slowed the pace to complete the run. I did have nipple chafing though. Any tips on that? Also, how many miles do you do daily and weekly? How do you fuel in half and full? Training for my first half possibly the one in Brooklyn run by NYCRUNS.

Wow, and thank you for the support! As per your questions, I’m planning a video of FAQs to answer the training and fueling. Short story? Lots of breads and gels! The NYC Brooklyn Experience run looks promising, from Greenpoint towards Prospect Park through downtown - I wish you good luck!

FAQs is a great idea. I would love to hear how you increased your Half time. I was watching your one video before the short hiatus where your Half was around 1:45 and then suddently it jumped to near 1:30, which is awesome! Any idea on chafing though? I now have bandaids on both. One bled onto the shirt, which puts running out of commission for the next couple of days at least. 😞
