this is going to be one bad banshee!!! one thing I found, when installing the head, if you finger tight the spark plugs in and install the domes into the head prior, you can hang onto the plugs and slowly lower the head onto the cylinders. works everytime

Hey mike awsome vlog i did catch onething so wheel grease wont hurt on ur orings but best to use Vaseline it evaperates an its clear an it sticks orings in place very well.
@icantcomeupwithaname8925
@icantcomeupwithaname8925 5 жыл бұрын
I personally like to leave a light layer of grease on the o-rings. This ensures that next time you have to take the head off for whatever reason, the o-rings wont rip or get stuck.

So I have a question for you Gearheads so we all know what a 4-stroke motor is and we all know what a 2-stroke is so think about that for a second is a rotary motor a one-stroke I will let the discussion began and also Michael your Banshee motor is looking awesome and I bet it's going to run as good as it looks.
@MichaelSabo
@MichaelSabo 5 жыл бұрын
I can't wait to get this thing fired man! Thank you for the compliment. The rotary motor is definitely an interesting concept. If you search "1 stroke motor," there are some interesting designs but none if which are truly a one stroke or that work practially; at least that I know of.
@J-YT99
@J-YT99 5 жыл бұрын
I like that you emphasis using proper torque specs because that's the most important part. You just cant run it tight with a wrench and call it good that's the difference between having your wheel fall off or breaking a bolt off.

What does a cool head do? Higher compression? Looks?
@MichaelSabo
@MichaelSabo 5 жыл бұрын
Cool heads literally keep the head cooler because they offer better flow and usually more volume of coolant over OEM. But yes, they do also offer interchangeable domes for different levels of compression and yea man, they look awesome too 🤘

Damn!!! I hope there is a surprise with a chariot stator cover and polished up clutch cover with a carbon fiber insert maybe or modquad water pump cover and insert? Hell just a dream, That would finish this thing and make it look tits money man love the build so far. Would be cool to have to see a final comparison of pros and cons with the 700 and the banshee when it’s done.

@81Kush
@81Kush 5 жыл бұрын
your doing it properly by using a torque wrench. im guilty of not using one and i alway overtighten and in most cases this doesnt matter. but places were there plastic backing inj clutch covers if you over torque those corse thread cap screws you burn thru clutch housing cases. and if you overtighten on bolts in metal you severly shorten the life of the threads of theg female fitting and have to use a helicoil to rethread your cases and housings ect.. its always best to use a torque wrench for your final tightening. the reason people dont do this is because 1 its an additional step tog et a torque wrench and most people tunring wrench dont use a book so they dont have the specs of the torque to be set in the first place... those people we call wana be mechanics
