The music while you guys worked was driving me nuts after the first episode.. I would have preferred to have just listened to you guys wrenching and cussing..... That's better music than the repetitive music that was playing....

Clean welds, and you guys have the right tools. We understand that you sell parts and use them in the video but would of been cool seeing you guys make your own aprons to cover up the holes

We actually don't even sell the Scott Rod panels, they are just priced right, fit well, and save time.

There is a BIG difference between restoring a car, and customizing it. You are now fully customizing a rare cobra. There is nostalgia in a factory engine bay. Everyone is smoothing out engine bays. It looks really good. But, not on a rare car that you are calling a restoration. I respect your decision of hood choice, but I completely disagree. Just making the car exactly what people have been doing to these cars for over 20 years. It has been way over done. But a clean factory car in concourse condition is worth more with these now collector cars. Missed opportunity in my opinion. It is just my opinion and you are free to disagree. I am not upset or really care what you do with this car as it is not mine. But, you knew someone was going to bitch about it.

I fully expected some blowback but in the end it is my car and my money. If it were a clean original car I never would have done any of this. Given the high mileage and multiple accident history of the car, any value in originality is long gone. The stock hood and stock front bumper are wrecked, had the stock hood been OK I would have stuck with it.

@@cjponyparts I totally understand the originality stand point. I am a bit sensitive with rare cars. I knew some guys that found a brand new original 69 super bird that had never been sold. It was in a dealership's storage facility and it had no miles on it. Around 1990 they cut it up and turned it into a drag car. Just like a hemi car back in the 60's, even if it is fully restored back to like original condition. It is still an original hemi car. All in all I am a mustang fox body fan, and I like that you are working on one. It is fun to watch. Good luck on the project. I have a red 93 cobra with 32k original miles on it. It had a cowl hood when I bought it. It looks great, but I wish I had the original one.

You should do a wire tuck with all the wires and harnesses under the hood.

Why didn't you clean & put some kind of rust preventer under the panels instead of just welding to a dirty old panel! But I guess everyone does things differently where the clutch cable came through the fire wall u can't get a donor car in cut it out then just weld a fresh new piece of metal there! U guys have everything that car sould look like a new 93 Cobra Mustang went done!

Why not fill just the holes? Lapping panels over panels with open holes behind them allows moisture in, and you have more rust.
@cjponyparts
@cjponyparts 5 жыл бұрын
Filling and welding all the holes is even more tedious and I am running out of time before it goes to the paint shop. The car will never be a daily driver again so I don't expect rust will be an issue.
