If you are a older mechanic and we all know the vocabulary we have and shit happens and a whole lot more to come and that's when you walk away and go get coffee or beer and chill out, and go back to work. To you and your family Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy,I enjoy watching and learning something new

Hey Ron! Yep, I'm an older mechanic. Started in '89. The guys were rough on a kid back then 😅. Happy Thanksgiving to you, your family and your friends buddy! I hope your well and you enjoy it! I'm glad your watching.

I agree... you have to take setbacks in stride... but... I reserve the right to throw a huge... Olympics gold medal... hissy fit when no one is looking.

You are so right about that. Everything takes longer to do than you initially think. Everything costs more than you initially think. In the end it is still very satisfying. Hang in there man! Happy Thanksgiving! ❤️😎

Yep, been there and done that. Likely the combination of OLD glass and the chip. The exact same thing happened during the VW build. The windshield looked fine; I got it installed in new rubber and a few days later it had a vertical crack going top to bottom. I ordered a new windshield and installed it and never had any issues there-after. I think the older the glass gets the more brittle it becomes. Have a GREAT Thanksgiving Holiday with your family Mike.

@greggsvintageworkshop8974 Thanks Gregg. I took out and reinstalled all the glass in my 62 Cadillac and I was rougher on it then this one. But it wasn't delaminating. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone on your end buddy!

That happens with glass. My best advice is to purchase the best car you can afford. Have a great thanksgiving!

Back in the 1970s, when I was 19, my project was a 59 Chevy Fleetside PU. I built and installed a 360hp 327ci. Hooked it up to the stock drivetrain. While I was working on it, I just couldn't keep from hotrodding it . I blew 3 rear diffs on it. It ended up with a Ford 9 inch. I sold it to a fellow hotrodder who completely rebuilt it. I heard that 327 ended up in a 68 Camaro and the guy couldn't keep tired on it. Had a few other projects but ended up building motorcycles.

@toejam503 Ha cool story buddy! When I was 15 I bought a 65 chevy panel truck. That thing wouldn't do a burn out for nuthin! 😉 every car after that one until I was in my late 20's would keep tires on it or transmissions for that matter! Glad your watching Toejam!

@junksautomotive that old 59 was clocked at 127mph and the HP Officer let me go cause he liked the project. Lot of good memories with that thing in the 2 years I owned it.
