Cool, glad you enjoyed it. Getting a wheel is a total game changer. If you enjoy PC2 I’d definitely urge you to try ACC as it’s so much more immersive and realistic. PC2 is a great game with so much more car variety but the handling model isn’t quite right. In ACC i can be super consistent with lap times and placing the car because it’s so much more like driving a real car. All the best with it bud and thanks for the comment 👍🏼👍🏼

@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 dumb question but what is ACC? Asseto Corsa?
@jaysysumakaRatMaster33 жыл бұрын
ACC ( Assetto Corsa Conpetizione) is a dedicated race simulator just for GT3 & GT4 cars. A game that’s about as close as you’ll get to being a true simulator on both pc and console. Which was suppose to be based around the Blancpain GT3 series. It doesn’t run well on the standard Xbox and even the Xbox one X struggles to do all the calculations required by the games physics engine. But as far as I’m told it’s much better on the Series consoles especially the Series x. Hopefully later this year it will receive a full overhaul to make it better suited to the series consoles and ps5. AC (Assetto Corsa) was the first instalment from 505 games and has gone on to be something pc modder’s have truly expanded into many different areas of racing and even open world mods with traffic. Still a good game on console but nothing like it is on pc. I’d say it’s pretty limited on console but still fun to take a BMW or Porsche out for a track day at the Nordschleife 👍🏼 Definitely 2 games best played with a wheel and pedal set. I would recommend either game for using a control pad. Hope that helps 😉

Dude! I know I'm late to the party. But your tip on learning the car and track....I've learned that the hard way. I spent 8 hrs learning Paul Ricard in ACC, just because it's a track that I hate. Figured I would do setup changes the next day. And I learned that I don't need to adjust anything other than tire pressures. Neither the cars nor the track are bad. There's a relationship between what you want the car to do and what makes the car happy. Almost like a human relationship. The better you understand where the compromise needs to be, the faster you'll be
@jaysysumakaRatMaster33 жыл бұрын
100% you got that right… sometimes the problem isn’t in the car… in the hands of a good driver it will perform beautifully, you’ve just got to understand what the car wants. I’ve seen so many amazing laps during my time sim racing and a lot of them have been in default setups with only changes to brake balance being utilised. Paul Ricard is a better track than most people think… definitely better to drive there than to watch a race there. 👍🏼 Thanks as always for your comments Cody

@jaysysumakaRatMaster33 жыл бұрын
Cheers buddy… I don’t know much about the G923 but I here it’s a good wheel. Now you just need to learn about racing if you keep coming last. Project cars 2 is a good game and offers a huge array of cars but for driving physics and realism it’s very hard to be consistent. I’d suggest moving to ACC if you enjoy GT3 racing. If you’re wanting to stay with project cars 2 I’d probably start with racing the AI. Watch this video and start from here trying to find a level that’s going to challenge you but where you can also learn some race craft. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpemk6pmiayVpLs Then, try and progressively make the difficulty harder. The AI perform different in different cars at different circuits so don’t be surprised if you seem better or worse at different circuits in different cars using the same AI difficulty. Just reset the AI to something challenging. You want to be finishing in the top 5 but not winning . This will challenge you to get better. The AI in project Cars 2 will always out perform you in a faster car but just watch how they drive. Try and follow their racing line rather than using the track racing line option. Good luck with it buddy. All my content these days is on Assetto Corsa competizione. It’s by far the most realistic sim racing title on console.

Do i really have to know how to adjust setup. By that i mean things like tyre pressure, suspension setings, downforce etc. How much of a difference does it make?
@jaysysumakaRatMaster34 жыл бұрын
Stefano in some instances it can make a whole lot of difference to exploit the most from a car at a certain track. Little tweaks within the setup can have big effects at different circuits. But, if all you want to do is race, then I’d say get comfortable in a particular car and learn how it handles in its default setup. If you take a look at my GT3 special videos, even the default setups can set quality lap times but some cars suit different circuits. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWSqnZqdorCao7M
@stefanopiantanida38824 жыл бұрын
Thank you, i was wondering how good of an AI shoud i be able to win without setups. And how to know what to tweak in the setups to go faster. Also i wonder is it better to start to play with the racing line in corners that tells you when to brake or to disable it and just try to learn without it?
@jaysysumakaRatMaster34 жыл бұрын
If you’re new to sim racing or racing in general then having the racing line on can’t be a bad thing while you’re learning some of the basics. A racing line in the game is a guide, just remember that. Learning why you might want to hit a late apex or a mid apex etc is something well worth learning and I’m sure there’s plenty of good racing tutorials on KZbin. I haven’t spent much time in career but I know my AI are set to about 80% and are very aggressive. I very rarely race with AI drivers. Maybe this would be a good video to explore 👍🏼
@stefanopiantanida38824 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jay! My racing line tends to be on but i generally, after some time start to stop folowing it. By that I mean i tend to brake later or take the wider racing line because of the faster exit. I think that that means im kinda ready to get rid of it because i use it as a breaking zone. When it says i nead to brake i brake later. Now i just need to find another way to know whetn to start aka find a fixed spot.
@jaysysumakaRatMaster34 жыл бұрын
Stefano certainly sounds like you’re ready to turn it off. If you’re driving GT3 cars I’d suggest braking at the 100 to 150 yard board then trying to workout if you can make the corner. Checkout another one of my videos on effective braking 👍🏼 kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2bPlIyhqsd7qLM

Jay it’s working pretty good. One question. Well 2 questions. If it feels as if it’s going to get in a spin in mid corner. Is that suspension or more downforce. 2nd my left rear tire is in the yellow than the other tires? I can’t figure out why? Psi is 18.85 all 4. Ambient is 89 and track is 61 c.
@jaysysumakaRatMaster34 жыл бұрын
Dre’s Box I guess you could try opening the rear brake ducts to cool the tyre, but it’s very hard to stop a tyre getting hot if it’s doing all the work. Although I would have thought the rear right tyre is doing more with the track direction being anti clockwise. As for mid corner oversteer it depends if it’s high speed on the power or lift off oversteer when transitioning between throttle and brake???
