If you're oversteering in the entrance, it is probably excessive braking or steering. Oversteering in the exit is usually excessive throtle. If you use a controller or just hasn't got enough precision on the pedals yet, try pumping the brakes or throtle instead of going all or nothing =) In gokarting, if you take cable controled brakes and gas you hardly have precision on pedal levels and pumping is quite common for low speed sections

Believe it or not, f1 2019 was my greatest teacher in trail braking. The wheels lock up very easily in that game and since it’s open wheelers, you can see it happening. Seeing is very helpful for beginners as they aren’t very experienced and have difficulty in “feeling” what the car is doing.

actually, understeer slows the car a whole lot than driving with a tire saving pace, since understeer requires more steering angle and more steering angle slows down the car more. ideal, "driving on the limit" is to either: induce minor oversteer, or combined oversteer and understeer

My issue is the transition from slowing through a corner to accelerating out. I notice I get a sort of hanging moment when I’m unsure of when to begin accelerating. I’m sure knowing and performing that transition at the correct moment and for the correct amount of time is what truly makes professional race car drivers the best drivers in the world.

I think it also depends on the circuit. I raced the BMW M3 GTR (E46) at Monterey Laguna Seca and Mugello and 2 different setups for maximum potential. For LS, I used a setup that had softer suspension, higher downforce and quicker gears. For Mugello, I had a setup with stiffer suspension, slightly lower downforce on the front splitter, harder tires and longer gears. This was for a few reasons. 1. LS was at night so the track was colder. Mugello was a hot summer day so the tires would heat up quicker. Mugello is also a high speed circuit. 2. LS had mostly medium speed corners (a couple slow corners) with big altitude changes, requiring softer suspension and higher downforce. Mugello had almost all high speed corners with very gradual altitude changes, requiring more rear downforce and stiffer suspension. Driving the M3 E46 GTR to is limits was quite different for these 2 different tracks. LS I had to be a lot more careful with exiting corners to avoid wheelspin or going off the track and one of my tires driving in the sand. Mugello I felt I could drive each gear to the max and brake quite late in each turn. Most of the time I was short shifting or staying in the higher gear for the next corner. SO it really depends on the car and the track and the track conditions, AS WELL as everything you explained. :)

Love the addition of your voice. Now I only have to play back some sections instead of the entire video. Thank for the new feature. I was wondering if you would consider another feature. In the KZbin notes could you give credit to the racing games used in the demonstration. As you're on KZbin and the world has access, viewers into car racing can be using anything from special setups, consoles, or even mobile devices. Your advice can be used in any of these situations, but game on the lower end would not have many of the options available in most of the 'highend' games used to demonstrate you points.
