This is a VERY deep Hospital Sim, everything from designing an efficient layout to your hospital, to drilling-down and diagnosing EACH patient (if you want). This game is VERY MUCH up our alley, so let's design a build a hospital! It was released in 2018, but there's some new DLC out "Hospital Services" So let's give it a go!
Become an ace doctor, an aspiring architect and a successful manager at the same time. Design your very own hospital, tweak every detail or use one of the predefined models and just jump to the doctor’s duty.
Contract different insurance companies to gain access to patients with interesting medical conditions, perform examinations, laboratory tests and use various equipment to solve the diagnostic puzzles. Hospitalize your patients, perform surgery and more!
Use a collection of various objects, materials and colors to make it truly yours or save your time and use one of many different prefabs.
From hiring to specializations, from doctors to janitors, make sure everybody is doing a great job and finds satisfaction in their work.

Probably mentioned already but in top right on the 4th icon is doctor mode, you can add them in. Also a cheat for diagnosing is they won’t have something from a dept that isn’t unlocked.

I can just imagine some of the doctors on break upstairs thinking about biosafety regulations with a histology lab next door 😂. Once you get more room available, labs like histology and microbio are placed in areas away from patient access or travel because we have to put up biosafety hazard warning signs on the doors that can scare non scientists, not to mention some of the hazardous reagents we use for the biological tests. I commented before that the microbio lab is accurate and the little room especially because thats where we work with more dangerous or sensitive stuff. You could honestly shrink them down further or put more benches in because you are right that research labs are honestly pretty busy and chaotic and sometimes cramped. I love all the planning and storytelling you can add to this game with the designing.

yesss! I agree, there's a hospital near me that did some studies and have lots of colours you'd find in nature, greens, browns, etc on their walls due to the calming effects

Hot tip: When you are down to only one REAL possible diagnosis in the list (i.e. only one is treated by a department you have) it doesn't matter if you haven't uncovered enough symptoms for the doctor to be sure. You can just select it and treat it. It doesn't count as a "guess" at that point really, because there's only one viable option. Helps to clear them through faster.

yesss, that really has helped clear them a bit faster! It's interesting that the game doesn't just have them automatically clear them? Like, I know it would eventually, but it will still try a few more procedures I think. I'm kind of loving doctor mode tbh

Also, my advice on the ICU question is that you should build the emergency department's Trauma Centre first. That makes the most sense as the bottom level of that second building, as patients get taken directly from ambulances to the TC. ICU can come later once you have some departments that can handle more severe issues, such as Cardiology or Internal Medicine, to deal with any of their patients who are in a really bad way or require things like heart monitoring or life support. It's super-expensive to set up, so you'll need a thriving hospital behind you to really pull in those dollars (or to have done a run of insurance milestones to get lots of grant money, which will end up netting you a thriving hospital anyway!).

ooh okay, I see what you mean - for a while I thought you meant Traumatology. But now I remember, that EVERY department needs the ability to hospitalize... it's a lot for a small footprint!

@@SolidContent Yep. I was going to add a correction on the next video after you mentioned Traumatology, but you'd figured it out before you went and built it so all good. 😄 But you're right, fitting everything into this footprint will be quite the challenge!

Before I watch the video wanted to mention, you can add all the possible treatments for whatever the correct diagnoses is. That will give your pharmacy a higher Profit.

The top left is game modes. You want to be in the stethoscope mode on the end to control doctors officially! There’s an opportunity to add a doctor to your control list to auto assign their patients to you

Press F8 to enter doctor mode, there you can add doctors you want to control and any time they interact with a patient, you get say in what's going on.

You should be able to use the foundation tool on the second floor- it should create the overhang without building anything underneath

I think the problem is, when you go to delete it the floor will dissappear, but for this overhang I wanted roof section, not floor, which would add a roof on top of the 2nd floor overhang

Random info: You can transfer patients to other doctors in your hospital. So if you can't figure out for any reason what a patient has, you can refer them to another doctor that you don't control, so that it doesn't effect your rating.

ooh very cool! I think you can also micro them into not needing a hospitalization wing for every department? I heard you could ward them in another part of the hospital, then reassign them for their procedures?

Yeah! I found it, it was in the mod that gave me the signage and that Christmas tree. There's a no smoking sign that is busted. But the comments left instructions how to fix it! Any object mods you think I'm missing that I should have?
