I drove mine today to caffeine and octane in Jacksonville Florida. Had a great day and the reflector said made in Italy

I have the same problem on my GT. At first the temp gauge wasn't even working. Replaced the sender gauge sender like you did. Now on start up, my temp gauge moves but doesn't work!

I’d say give it a go testing things like I did- easy to ground the sensor and see if the gauge responds- that’ll get you off the a good start troubleshooting.

@@CrawdaddyCustoms Out of curious, where did you get your temp sensor from? Thanks.

Did you ever figure it out? Mine goes from being pegged to the left while off, then during start up it shakes back and forth and then sits at 0

I switched the wires on the temp sender gauge sensor. Gauge works well. My thermostat failed a week ago and my temp gauge slowly went up into the red so I know it is somewhat accurate but at least it works.

I’m enjoying it- wish I done it a long time ago 😎

Did you flip the wires at the sensor on engine or behind the actual gauge? Thanks.
@CrawdaddyCustoms3 жыл бұрын
I switched the wires in the engine bay because the P/O had cut the factory connector and replaced it, so it was easily accessed where he did the repair.

@@CrawdaddyCustoms Hey thanks for the quick response brother. Stay safe.

I finally cured mine. All I did was switch the wires at the temp sensor and disconnected the battery for 30 minutes. Now the gauge works. I didn't have to take the instrument panel apart like I have been told.

We’ll see where the engine selection ends up going... 3800 SC seems SUPER popular.

@@CrawdaddyCustoms try two pistons more, Land Rover V8 util 2004 are the same Buick V6 plus two pistons, and are lighter because they are made in aluminum.

@@CrawdaddyCustoms they are maybe the most reliable engines in history. A shame GM stop to make their V8 versions.

@@CrawdaddyCustoms I always wanted to do the supercharged Quad4 with the 5 speed. More nimble than any other swap and easier to do a tune up! Now that we have ecu's like Haltech it should be a breeze to make it run better and be tunable. I'm looking forward to your build!
