-Testing the mobility of the suit.
-With stilts, it helps make the suit look taller, but limits mobility to some degree.

This is the best fan Godzilla suit I've seen so far. The only real issue with it I can see is that the foam is far too "soft" in areas causing it to crumple in parts when it moves, making it obviously look like a person in a foam suit. Are you going to reinforce these areas with denser foam or rubber or is that not possible due to making movement in the suit too hard?

Im very sure hella ppl would buy the suit. Throw it on Kick starter and start a Godzilla Organization. Like the Predator Hunter's club. There can be a variety of Godzillas at Comicon.

Dude.....that's not fair. Always wanted to make a Godzilla suit tried one earlier this year failed and have to find a new method. This looks like it could be the best fan made suit I've seen.

there is! this costume utilizes the same tactics that is used in all fursuits, all the way down to the stilts. All you have to do is watch the plethora of videos available and get involved with fursuit makers to understand how to make a fursuit-cosplay like this. A fair word of warning, though? Upholstery Foam, the main component of this costume, is very, very expensive in quantities such as this.

Awsome, this reminds me of the old japanese godzilla movies, but they didn't use foam at that time so the person wearing the godzilla suit faints :3 I hope in Godzilla 2 they'll make a rubber foam suit for godzilla :D

Yes i am attempting to build a Godzilla 2014 suit too. But i want to use excellent material, material that movie makers would use. I am thinking of using rubber for the skin, and threat that feels cool on the inside of the skin like silk. but of course ima try to put an air conditioner in there.

Actually it's through the neck, using the overlapping scales to cover the netting.

Looks more like the "Millenni-Goji" suit from 99 (and thru the early 2000's) to me, but friggin' awesome none the less.

see if this was in the 2014 one, then it would've been better cause there's actually something there, and the actor would've had fun smashing buildings and fighting a other guy in a suit, but people these days don't care about monsters in suits anymore :/, they only care about cgi because they think it's better, well at least is not as hard as wearing a 7 foot tall 80 pound suit, but I prefer suit over cgi

Actually, this video made me glad they didn't use a suit. Japan can get away with it cause it just fits them. Let's be real, their movies have never been big on visual quality. We're used to it and wouldn't want it any other way because it just goes together. But the Legendary Godzilla seems to take itself more seriously. Through the use of CG, they are able to convey things like animal-like movement and behavior as well as realistic and more cinematic destruction. Especially things like the typical Godzilla movement as seen in this video would heavily break your immersion in these movies. CG does give them more opportunities to make everything fit their vision. That being said, I am generally a fan of a mixture of practical effects and cgi. If it went according to me, an animatronic Godzilla should be used and later digitally added into the city and perhaps enhanced. This enables for a more realistic creature but avoid basically every single problem a suit would cause.

The Unknown Trust me, if 2014 used a man in a suit it would look absolutely ridiculous. Its fine that they used the suits in the old movies, because they had nothing better, but CGI looks miles better than a suit.
