Since one of the subframe bushings on the Z is trashed, it's time to replace them with solid bushings, which always sucks, but I'm sure my misery is entertaining. lol

I agree with your perspective when it comes to having a drift beater and a clean drift car. If you can have both you can drive the crap out of the beater and learn your limits and the car’s limits and when you’ve gained more experience you can enjoy driving the clean drift car without clenching your butt the entire time that you’re driving it.

Yep. Thrash the 350, kill it, and discard the corpse. Transfer the parts onto your next trash 350, repeat ad nauseam. Save every dollar you don't spend on bodywork or paint on the 350's or doing bodywork because you got too rowdy with your Vette or Miata for going back to Ebisu.

Man, it amazes me the quality and effort you put into these videos! Your intros are so fire, the way you edit them with the dope tunes and the sick shots of you setting your cars up to be worked on. It really makes them an experience to watch, like I just tuned into my favorite tv show or something.

Oh man, That Ice cream music while flipping the bird got me. Hilarious. Love the depths you videos show. A good reality check on what it takes to be proactive with drift cars, and the value of maintaining even a missile car.

About making the Z nice, I understand your perspective. But you could make it a little nice-er. Kinda like your Ebisu car. Pop out a few dents from the inside, rattle can the fenders and you're set...

Keep thrash car a thrash car keep the miata as a clean build. the point of the 350 was to have a car that was on par with your friends and be able to go hard in with them.

His particular 350z that has body damage on every panel is a thrash car. If it was a clean starting point of say to make it nice. But that wasn't the point of this particular 350z, it's destined to bang fenders and scrap walls.

No man save money for the Miata. This car is a missile for sure and it would probably take more work to make it nice than it’s worth. Then it’s a constant battle to keep it nice and expensive too. Once it’s nice, you’ll spend way more keeping it nice

The drift missile doesn't have to be nice, but it should at least look like you spent some effort on it. Everyone who watches the video's knows the work you spend on making it function correctly, so the exterior should speak to that. Having paint that somewhat matches, pulling out the dents to a reasonable amount (like how the rear fender arch is currently) and making sure that the bumpers/skirts are at least attached at the start of the event goes a long way. Keep things rattle can & hammer vs Bondo & paint booth.

You've been inspiring me to get into drifting man! I have an e46 325I that I got really cheap last summer and now I've been thinking about making it a starter drift car to learn with! Only thing is that I feel like it might not have quite enough power(185 at the crank) but I guess I could airways jack up the rear tire pressurea bunch?lol I also have a rwd 98 Chevy 1500 with a 5 speed I was thinking could be a cool drift truck possibly?? Look at all the ideas you've planted!

I don’t like coffee but I can drink cold brew and not kill my self drinking it. Family sells coffee and I have never liked it. Some benefits from cold brew is that it’s a lot smoother and has more caffeine. Also like the beater z. It’s raced and not a queen that sits.

If you really want to shrink the bushings go to one of that grocery stores that sell dry ice and then soak the bushings in a mix of chipped ice and alcohol. We use this method in the aerospace industry to install bushings

When i take those type of bushings out, I always just torch them and use a hammer to smack the middle out and then i cut two slits in the metal ring and then hammer it out. Only take like 30 minutes to do four typically. I'm biased though because i do this type of stuff daily. PHAHAHAH. Literally typed this before you did exactly what i typed the second bushing. You go Glen CoCo!

I'd keep it _some-what_ nice, just wouldn't spend too much time and money on it. Take care of it and it'll take care of you. I've found that regular washes and inspections often led to me catching things before they got too bad. This equals more seat time in the long run. Plus, it's therapeutic. But, to each his/her own.

I bought my Milwaukee Sawzall in 1996 or 97 and I still cut with it weekly. Iv e been wanting to get the cordless and a lost bought Dewalt but I didn't like the way the blade retainer was. After I decided not to everyone I knew that had the Dewalt cordless and corded were having blade retention issues. I broke the retainer on mine 5 years after and I went to get one frrom the tool shack in town so I took the broke one to get the right one a nd the guy gave it to me saying they had an issue with bad casting and he gets replacements by the bulk and just gave me one. That's anot her bennefit of being dedicated to your supppliers. I find a pkasce that I like and does goid business I stay even if I can get the tool on sale across the street. I'm paying extra for better customer service asnd that's worth it. When I take something for repair or warranty they do it quick knowing I'm a ggoid customer.

You should save your brake lights by taking them off, and putting some led rectangles on the trunk so when in tandem or something, you dont crack or break the light, and it gives you a replacement for another time. I know you said you don't care about how damaged your car gets beings that it's a practice car, but it'd save money. Also in tandems it would be easier for the person behind you to see you brake. Just an idea, hope you read this 😂
