Are other lights compatible with the harness? One of mine went out and $50 to replace. Most aftermarket sets are $25 or so.

On 2017 and 2018 the plug in to buss bar is wrong. As you look at it, There are 3 plug ins being used. This says the one to far right is the one you use. That is incorrect. The plug you use is to the far left almost unable to see. Remove cap and plug in harness.

Nice video....Can you add additional lights in the system such as one or two to the ceiling of the cap? Can the system handle it?

Jeff Poquette I would imagine so, they are LEDs and do not draw much power.

Hello, do you know if they make a kit for a 2005 Chev Silverado?

JV there is not a GM kit for a 2005. If you were to buy this kit there would be no plug under the truck. There are, however, a ton of aftermarket kits that are very nice, put out a lot more light, and even cost less. But you’ll have to run your own wiring to the cab. Just search on KZbin.

This was done on a 2014, but should be good for 2014-2018 1500 or 2015-2019 2500HD/3500HD.

How did you order these lights? Webpage or dealer? I was wanting to see if I could find them for my 2012 Silverado.

I got these on ebay. They were around $100 at the time. The thing that made these work well is the plug and play wiring designed for this generation of Silverado/Sierra. For a 2012 I would go with a lesser expensive aftermarket brand. They are generally a lot brighter than the GM lights too.

@@markgloverville 2012 do not have a OEM plug and play harness like the 2014+ models so have to wire them into a aftermarket switch wired into the cab somehow

These are LEDs and do not draw much current. Should be able to splice in and daisy chain as many as you like.
