Thanks for the call out for torque specs on the parts you upgraded and others you reinstalled. I have to do everything you addressed on a 95 ZJ including upper and lower ball joints and both engine mounts. I was considering removing the entire axle to get to the R&R on the left and right UCA's and easier access to the engine mounts. Your video convinced me to go this route.

Thanks man! Just a few bolts more and the axle is free and clear out of the way .. sky's the limit!

Nice to have a channel that doesn't have blaring music. Audio, lighting and camera angles provide some of the best coverage. Acquired a '87 XJ with lift parts missing, or do I say that half of them were ordered? I can say that what is there are Rubicon Express, and I'll have to go out and measure what is installed then make a list of what's needed to finish up what someone else started. How about companies stamping reference part numbers on their products. Got to be able to cross reference replacement parts eventually. It really show how simple the suspension actually is... Thank you for the great coverage once again. 😁👍

Dan, Great job with the Lift replacement. With all the trouble you went through with painting, I'm sure you were going to apply corrosion coating to the sway bar fasteners. Looks like those will start rusting after the first winter storm this year.

I recently got my first XJ to use for fishing here on Long Islands beautiful beaches. I plan on doing a 3 inch lift at some point, probably next season, as I’m working on getting other things ready for this year. Question, do you find you need a SYE for this lift? @r.weaver37692 жыл бұрын
@@ProjectDanH Absolutely right, I'm not recommending cutting, I am doing as a test, not an end all. Guess I should have been clearer on that. If I don't like how the suspension reacts I can put stock back on without purchasing expensive lowering springs first. Not concerned with my original springs, I have a 1/4 of a million miles.

Hi, i really enjoyed video, my stock 2000xj , i just bought 3 lift kit( only schock, spring,a pair leaf) alot opinions suggest ( aditional )should only need new pair sway links and a transfer drop kit, my intention is just 30 inch tires on a off set wheel only to use street routes. Is it necessary drop bracket , new arms etc.. ? just want a smooth ride . Appreciate your advice; thanks

Yes, for a 3 inch lift you may need to do a drop bracket. you might get a slight driveline vibration

Hey Dan ,. I watch your videos quite often, and I see you using wood blocks on top of your jack stands, And I'll be honest man, it makes me grind my teeth a bit every time I see it. If you are going to use blocks on top of them like that, why don't you get some 4x4 blocks that are larger and notch them so that they have a channel to fit around and cradle the frame, and maybe the other side also so they cradle the jack stands a bit also. Yea I'm harping on you dude,,,, but so what,. Cause no one really wants to see some guy on KZbin that is trying to get some work done on a jeep and make a video of it get injured, or killed. It would probably be great for a horror film . But not for a jeep repair video. Stay safe man. Thank you for your videos. Tim from Wisconsin.
