I think the one thing I would always add to anyone considering projection mapping is that where you live may reflect on your success more than any other factor. The ambient lighting close to cities can drastically affect your project as ability to project an image on the house. Street lights even a block away can cause issues. I had to resort to using two 8000 lumen projectors to cover a modest home in a suburb outside New York City.

@@geoseward Sorry, just happened to see your question as this video was re-recommended by youtube. Little late now but maybe help for next year. ;) I don't love any as much as Phantasms as it has the spooky and ethereal look I prefer for window projection. Most of the rest are more cute or graphically violent or just bad (mostly just their early stuff like where they tried to use real people). Can't say what is best though as it really depends on what mood/vibe you want. For us, the ones I like for window projection are: Ghostly Apparitions 2 is decent and the most similar to Phantasms. Paranormal Passages "spectra Surfaces" is very cool as the 3d effect of things pushing through the wall/window is very good. Creepy but cuter is Eerie Eyes ' Ominous Oculi. On the lighter side I like Halloween Moon and Halloween Window. And the new Legends of Halloween is very high quality CG

This way we get a faster visitor through put as we get a long line of people waiting. Our show lasts 15 minutes

just one question : How do you protect your projectors and equipment against theft
@TheHookUp2 жыл бұрын
It's a combination of things I suppose. 1) I live in a neighborhood where theft isn't common. 2) the projectors I'm using are pretty inexpensive, so while it would be annoying if they were stolen I don't think many adult thieves would want them. 3) I also review security cameras on my channel regularly and my house is crawling with visible cameras covering every inch of the property, probably a good deterrent. I know there are plenty of people who built projector boxes with locks and anchor them to the ground, but those enclosures often cost a couple hundred dollars to make and my projectors are worth $60 new.
