Wanted to tell you that a few times: Please dont "remove" rust with a rotating wire brush, in reality you will enclose the rust beneath the metal and the rust will grow again some time later. Problem is that you think you have removed all the rust since everything is shiny. Better first use gentle tools like a fan sander, then use rust remover (phosphoric acid) to ensure everything is gone. Then off course use a good quality primer and you wont hear anything from the rust again :)

I would recommend in the shed where you're storing gas powered tools, you look at installing some venting as well, either a mechanical louver or small electric fan to circulate air and prevent the possibility of a build up of fuel vapor as a possible fire hazard.

I've been watching some, buying €1 old house and renovating, making a homestead from scratch videos. It looks like most of them take place in Portugal and some in Italy. Why do you think? Do people emigrate to other parts of Europe?
@Rodrigo-Bras5 ай бұрын
@@kozatas Next to my hometown in central Portugal, Oleiros, we have around 25 couples that live like this, close to nature at its maximum. Most of them don't even have internet or water, they take baths in the rivers or lakes. I’d say this happens mostly in Portugal or Italy, simply because of the weather. Rain not being so common, helps people doing their works on wood or farms, etc.

Is it strange that I got very emotional watching this ragtag group of hardworking young folks helping out the local older folks with their crop harvesting that they've been doing their whole lives? Truly a heartwarming sight!! They must have been very grateful to have those hands on deck...in this modern world, many do not wish to work hard like "the old days." Young folks don't necessarily have to, so why should we? (I am one such modern girlie.) But that doesn't mean everyone wants to live in a city and work a corporate job either! What you all are accomplishing together is honestly what Our World needs so much more of. It is a beautiful thing. ❤ Much love, from NC, USA🇺🇸
