Classic case of trust the process, when you first swapped the doors before doing the roof and porch, I was thinking it would like awful, but in the end it looks so gorgeous 😍, now that my grandma and I are having someone redo our porch and driveway, I took a lot of inspiration from this when picking the new porch floor (concrete to now Trex composite) and the same walkway pattern for our driveway (going from old, cracked, broken, and even partially missing red brick)

Wow!!! You guys are a-mazing!!!! Holy cow, I can't believe you did all of that! Wish I was still young enough to do things like this, LOL! The only things my husband and I conquered was putting in a Japanese style garden in our tiny yard of our first house (I layed stone while 8.5 months pregnant 😂) and then built a big redwood playset for our kids at our forever house. After 27 years here, there's so much to be repaired and replaced but I can't do that kind of work anymore...so envious of you both!! We didn't have the benefit of KZbin back then either so it was a lot of trial and error...mostly error...to accomplish anything. Great job, your house looks incredible!!! ❤

I am honestly in awe of how much you did in such a short time. We are 4 years, yes 4 years into our whole home reno and it still isn't done. We did have some major foundation and structural issues as well that had to be fixed. I don't know how you have the time to get so much done each week. My husband has done everything himself (with some help from me, but I am no Sabrina) on weekends and a few days off. What the 2 of you have done in such a short time is miraculous! Well done!!! He married a keeper! Hub and I removed and replaced the roof ourselves. We did not “ quibble “ until I insisted I wanted to vacuum the roof plywood before we starting the black paper. It was dusty and many nails lying about. Afterwards it looked like the clean slate my OCD brain needed. He indulged my whim, ( my code word: non negotiable request) , he grabbed an iced tea, and took a break , sitting there on the roof, leaning up against the chimney watching me. He was just shaking his head, smiling, especially when he saw how happy it made me.
