"when you're not growing you're dying" - that really struck a chord

Love this video. I have mild Aspergers (a mild form of Autism) and was bullied at school. I'm now 38 and have amassed a net worth of around $4M. Surprisingly I don't live a lavish lifestyle. I do normal things like everyone else; I still work 40 hours per week, attend the gym regularly, play badminton, cook and watch TV series. I even clean my own house lol, although after watching this clip I'm now considering freeing up some of my time by employing a cleaner, some would argue it's lazy, but it's providing someone else with a job. I think my bed cost me $300, I'm too tight to splash out on an expensive one!

Your approach is very humble and honest. I really appreciate that. I'm one of those people who get instant mad at someone if they told me they were a millionaire. I always think "Okay, who did they F over to get that amount of money." Cleary an assumption on my part and it is something I need to reconcile, but your words put water on my mental fire. Thank you.

You are an inspiration, Thank you . The older I get the more I realize that becoming a millionaire is not so much about the fancy material possesions you can buy with the money, rather it is about the freedom that being a millionaire can create. It is about the difference that I can make in My own personal life and more importantly in the world; with the funds and freedom to do so !! Money can't buy happiness but in some sense it buys time. Anything lost can be found again except for time wasted !!

I think it may be helpful to reflect on how people are often viewed as dumb, silly, or foolish at first when they begin expressing their belief or method for becoming wealthy. Once they actually become wealthy, they have proven their worth and value through action that has manifested in a tangible way for people to see for themselves. In other words, once wealthy, a person is now the 'real deal' and no longer 'all talk'. With this in mind, it may become easier to understand the difference in how you are treated by some individuals. Of course, there will always be those who are actually malicious or wholly self-centered, but I think after some time these types of people can be fairly easy to identify.
@ProjectLifeMastery7 жыл бұрын
Hi Brian, when you become wealthy and successful, you often have to deal with new issues that arise... which is people becoming jealous, envious or hateful because your success can often make them feel insecure about themselves. So it never goes away!

You are very inspirational! I can relate to your thought process, these are the things I value most. I never really thought money was important until now, I didn't realize that if I invest my money properly that I could have more time and more money to really take care of my health and happiness. I thought I would have to work ridiculous hours at a job my whole life to make a lot of money and that wouldn't make me happy. All I want is free time to expand my knowledge, learn new things, experience more, be as diverse as possible and do the things I love while still having money to support myself. I always focused on wanting to find a career that I love and is my passion so it doesn't feel like work but truth is it will always be work. Point is if I invest my money properly I can have financial freedom and have more free time to do the things I love.
