I completely agree. The "delusion" of learning, as you put it, is quite dangerous because it gives you a false sense of progress. I've definitely fallen into that trap. And this is one of the main blocks that I try to coach my language students out of. I love your rule of, "For every 1 hour I spend learning about something, I have to spend 3 hours doing."

What I learned is that we dont earn respect for how much we know rather how much we are of service to others by the use of what we know.......also what has made me to study and learn better is trying my level best of thinking deeply about simple things and thingking of something new every day as I learn a particular thing.....thanks man

Hey Stefan I just wanted to say thank you so much for this video. Very recently I’ve sort of lost my passion for reading self development books because I had the “I know that” mindset as well. Hearing the same similar thing over and over again on every other book and in a way wasn’t finding it very entertaining anymore and I didn’t realize that it was just my ego and needing to humble myself more. Since you mentioned being a student and how repetition IS mastery it got me to shift my mindset and humble myself like I should. So I just wanted to say Thank you thank you for putting all of this out there.
