Hopefully, like learning a new language, the kids will have more success in adapting to these isolative conditions than we have had. We don't need to start actually dividing ourselves by generation. My best guess is that this behavior is addictive to more and more people over time because it's a trauma response to an increasing sense of consistent existential futility in our lives. Then it produces a sort of compulsive absurdism in the mind. Things are getting worse for us. Why wouldn't that effect developing generations? If we want to fix this you don't remove devices until it's "safe" to look at a screen. We have to make better conditions in our environment to give people any hope future that they would normally want themselves. We allowed them to be born in hell. We need to change that now before it's too late for each of us. Show them that something can be done.

However, I feel like the pandemic became the biggest catalyst as to why kids are acting like this recently. Because of the multitude of factors (such as a lack of external human communication, parents busy with adjusting to doing their occupations under multiple restrictions, and the main reason that kids' means of entertainment have been cut down significantly meant they only had their gadgets to rely on to keep them entertained. Even after a few years, the lingering effects of such detriment are still, y'know, prevalent? Brain rot has gotten worse compared to the 2010s. Back then, people still consumed memes and silly content with loud volume and what not, but it wasn’t as fast or constant or algorithm driven. You had to search for things yourself, it was a little bit more active. Now, platforms like TikTok and Instagram push tons of quick, mindless content at you all the time, making it easier to scroll for hours without thinking or selecting. This destroys your attention span and make you feel mentally drained. It's not just the content, but how it's designed to keep you hooked. Looking at this in the most selfish way possible... this is great! I feel like there's no better time to get ahead of the curve, if 99% of kids are like this, I feel like I don't have much competition in life.

@cckiller0053Ай бұрын
Well it is true until you're stuck with those kind of children in class, causing your teacher to quit and not allowing you to get a good education, you may not have competition, but the case is far worse than that, not only there is no competition, but you're also being revoked from having that competition. If those kids cause tantrums in the middle of a lesson, it prevents you from learning, so be careful what you wish for.
@LoudSunshineАй бұрын
Until you realize that even if you manage to be above 99%, still there are no fucking specialized jobs for gen Z, imagine gen alpha when they start working, they'll be like the Manchester factory workers from 1800's, surviving on liquid crack, milk with acetone and whatever they find on the market for few bucks

Thank you for this video, insanity in the making. My friends daughter could speak 7 languages by the time she was 5 and thoroughly enjoyed conversing with her mother while her father and I couldn't understand. It was nice to see as soon as I introduced a language she didn't understand how she went quite and listened and then wanted to learn. This was the product of her mother always teaching her and devoting her time to her. This has cemented my determination to teach my own children outside of the education system. It's horrifying watching this video

Dont worry my friend. Look back to what you did when you were young. What you did, what you consumed, etc. Are you a functional human being today? I suppose so. No need to hide it from your kids, as it will probably have the oppisite effect. They will grow up and also become functioning members of society. Just like you and me. I have a kid and I'm not worried in the lesst EXCEPT for TikTok challenges or the equivalent which will come out in 10 years. But, since I am aware, I will have good and straight forward dialogue with my child and simoly explain what dangers lurks and that she can do her silly challenges if she is open to telling me first what they involve and only share with family snd friends, not openly in the TikTok platform or whatever. Hope this gave you anorher persoective, from one parent to another!

@Boss-_Ай бұрын
I'm not a father, but I think you'll have to find your kid some good kids' content to watch (old cartoons for example, cant go wrong with Loony Tunes), and sometime make time to watch it with him/her, strengthen the bond. If the kid is in school, you cant really protect them from other kids, but you can hopefully give them the mental capacity to protect themselves. But they cant be alone, so you might need to help your kid find at least one friend that he/she can engage with on a normal level, instead of the endless "skibidi rizz" or whatever we're dealing with at that point. Maybe I'm only saying this as an introvert, but just one proper friend can be enough
