I think I saw you use some silk/fabric leaves last year on a project and I think they would look amazing on the 2 gold tags at the end of your video for an Autumn journal!! Hello Gayle, You said you wanted to hinge the first 2 pages you worked on in this video with material that matches the red color in the pattern. Dina Wisely has canvas tape that comes in various widths that can can be dyed with acrylic paint, ink, sprays, etc. You could use the paint you used on the print to dye the tape and have an exact match 👍.

After putting the coffee dyed paper on both backs I was surprised that you cut them apart. The backing was already hinging them. Another strip of paper could then have been applied to strengthen the hinge (fold for the hinge) Just another way.🦌💌❤️📚

I would have used the first one you backed with tea dyed paper as a double page and not cut it in half ! You did get several pages by the end of your video. Sharon

I have enjoyed this little series so much Gayle! I so admire your fearless attitude. You mentioned turning the prints into digitals- I took some amazing photos at Alcatraz- (that place was filled with so much mixed media goodness) do you or anyone in the comments know how to turn a photo into a digital?? I’d love to use some of the photos as pages in a signature I love all of your content Gayle!

Do you mean you have physical photos? If so just scan them into a laptop or whatever you may have. If you took them with your phone or a digital camera they’re already digital just download them into your laptop Or print directly from your phone. I download all my photos onto my laptop and then I can use Photoshop Elements to alter them anyway that I want as far as color and brightness or removing things that I don’t want in the picture and resizing them, usually I resize everything to 8 1/2 x 11 or into journal card size or tag size or I put two pictures side-by-side on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet so that my page has two different pictures on either side.

@@terriwells2919 I’ve never made anything at PDF, frankly I don’t understand PDFs I tend to make things JPEG’s if I’m just going to print them out or PNG if I’m gonna use the individual elements of something. Do you have any kind of editing software? If not, just print one out and see what happens. Do you print from your iPhone directly? I don’t have an iPhone so I don’t know what type of photo software it comes with, I’m an android person even though I have an iPad. I always download everything into my laptop and edit.

@@LynsAlteredArts I use an HP Envy printer and there is a way to print directly from your phone- I just don’t know how to set it up. So if I download them onto my laptop should I make them a JPEG or PNG? Or just try to print it out as an 8.5x11? So sorry for all the questions!
