As a trainer and nutritionist for 30 years, learning how to exercise moderately and for joy has been a long journey, lol. But it makes all the difference. I cap my exercise at about 30 minutes, tops, and nothing super stressful. Weights, yin yoga, calisthenics. Often, it's just 5 or 10 minutes, two or three times throughout the day, excluding yin yoga (takes a while and is so worth it). I seldom see people in the pro metabolic world address this piece so it's great that you are. It's especially important for women. Things that energized me at 30 were just stressing my body at 50. Back in the 80s and 90s, we were all about cardio. I don't even bother now. I still love step aerobics, it feels like playtime for me, but no more rigid, self punishing cardio or 60 to 90 minute exercise sessions.

So well said!!! Yes! How’s your workouts going now? I’m a child of the 80’s who went into the fitness world and always loved it but wow is it ever freeing and healthy to know that walks and weights are the key for me & keeping it simple and short.

This is a beautiful approach. I've been really feeling the call to scale back to a slower pace of life. For my family and for my own health. I went from hardly* working out at all growing up to slowly getting into it in my 20s while I was totally malnourished (had no clue). Then since having kids, I went 100% into hiit and strength training and also incorporating running in different seasons. I kept looking at body builders that weren't scary looking but really ripped and wanted to figure out how I could achieve that. But I just heard the phrase "pro metabolic" yesterday and my mind is blown. I feel like working out 5 days a week, I've noticed a lot more muscle but no weight loss or any chiseled look. I have realized my fat intake is likely equal to or greater than my protein intake. So, I've been assessing that and now I want to try your workout method/routine. I love it! I definitely feel better when I leave more days in between workouts. I just freak out I wont see any gains if I go too long.😅 I love the holistic approach you have to health. Cant wait to incorporate all of this mindset! Total answer to prayer.💜

I’m SOOO glad you’re here!! Slowing down is definitely a shift in perspective and big mindset shift, but you’ll soon see the results from simply eating more and nourishing yourself while working out less. It’s amazing!! Praying for your continued healing!!

Love this!!! I found your channel by looking up prometabolic eating which I recently learned about through Kori Meloy’s podcast Freely Rooted! I’ve been slowly healing over the past 2 months and got off my thyroid and progesterone meds! I’m so excited to continue to learn and I love your content. It’s so practical, down to earth, and nourishing. Would love another workout video like this! Keep it up! God bless!

For pro metabolic eating, what do you/should you eat before a workout? I'm just getting into exercise. My breakfast is too much and i don't want to workout after. But I know I need to eat before I go workout. Please help. (Or make a video?) =D

Great question! There’s no better time than the other, but I would suggest absolutely not working out fasted.

What do u suggest for low temps? Ive been eating more prometabolic and balanced for a few mos. Morning temps always under 97.8, they were rising thru the day tho and by afternoon would get to 98 but the past week or so my temps have stayed below 97.8 thru the whole day idk why. I do weight training at home but inceeased cardio the wk b4 my temp dips. I dont want to stop all weights and lose any muscle ive gained the past yr but do u have more info on rising your temps , i dnt think i could get mine up as fast as u did. Thinking of just doing pilates for now. My pulses went from 75 and above to now 70. Not sure if it was the cardio i did last week or what.

I would suggest to slow down, listen to your body, and take it easy with light walks at most until your temps regulate.
