Love that you’re easy to understand and forthcoming with important information so we all can benefit from it. I know you said no raw veggies with the exception of the raw carrot salad that’s mentioned in your other videos. You did a phenomenal job covering the basics. Looking forward to more. Thank you!

Thank you for this. I have struggled for many years. My health really took a nose dive after I got Covid 3 years ago, April 2021. I have had numerous debilitating symptoms since. Severe constipation, hanger, mood swings, anxiety stressed all the time, hair loss, weight loss,(mostly muscle), food sensitivities, histamine intolerance, insomnia,(waking in the night starving and headaches, still can’t smell or taste after 3 years! Comes and goes… Some things improved after getting a couple root canals removed! 🙌🏻 I know I still have a ways to go. I always thought I had a fast metabolism because I’ve typically been thin my whole life. I’m 43 btw. Now I am under weight at 5’9 and 134 lbs! I know this is NOT normal! I’ve actually lost muscle mass, and I know I do not look healthy. My sister recommended eating this way, as she also has some issues. My poor husband had spent so much time on me and trying to figure out what is wrong with me over the past 3 years. Many thousands of $$ on Dr’s, specialists, naturopaths and functional medicine. Tests, procedures, TONS of bloodwork, a few stool tests, mold toxicity tests, Lyme test,(which I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme and co-infections. Also EBV)… Now I know that everyone probably has Lyme, it’s just a matter of how robust your immune system is in handling it! Thank you for this!!! I am feeling very empowered. I already render my own grass fed/finished tallow and ghee. We stopped eating seed oil a few years ago. I Cook in stainless steel and cast iron. I source a lot of our food from local farms and our farmers market. I am SO ready for this and so is my husband! I’m too skinny and he could lose a few pounds. He eats a handful of walnuts every day and salads allay every day! I think I will get him on board with eating this way too! So excited to know we don’t have to starve ourselves! ❤️❤️

Hi, just discovered the videos! I am so interested! I am just wandering, my pulse was always about 50 bpm (not nearly 75!). But I learnd and got told that it’s because I’m sporty and relaxed. And as higher as it gets, it would be a sign for stress. Can you explain this point? Thank you!

I have been slowly starting the prometabolic lifestyle with my family. Right now two of us are dairy free. I know once you get your metabolism functioning correctly, you will digest things more easily. My hope is to be able to eat dairy again. In the meantime, what are substitutes?
@thefreshpursuit2 жыл бұрын
That’s great! Good substitutes for now are coconut milk, coconut products in general, and oat milk (but make sure you look at the ingredients and it has no seeds oils or other processed ingredients). You can start incorporating dairy by taking a shot glass of raw milk/day, that will help your body to start making lactase enzyme again to help break down lactose better in the future. But take it veryyyyyy slowwwww with incorporating dairy.

I just scrolled on to your channel and I enjoyed every minute of it, I need this info to get on track, I'm a new sub and I will be following you for more. Can you do a video about balancing hormones, pcos, etc,and the kind of foods one should consume???....I think that's a part of the issues I'm dealing with right now....I'm keto friendly, but I don't think skipping breakfast to do IF(16/8) is working for me. Good question! That's why I'm doing one-on-one coaching, to get into the specifics for each individual - it's hard to just answer as a blanket statement!
@scarlett.nightingale2 жыл бұрын
Hey, I really enjoyed this video, thank you for explaining clearly :). I am just curious, I use an apple watch which tracks my heart rate and it tends to normally sit around 55-65 bpm while resting. It's been like this for as long as I can remember. You mentioned if your heart rate is out of the 70-90 bpm range, your metabolism is slow but isn't your resting heart rate determined by cardiovascular health? Should I be concerned about my metabolism as I have a lower resting heart rate? It does jump up to as high as 165 while I'm doing high-intensity exercise. I am going to look into getting a thermometer now to check my temperature, as I do tend to feel the cold! although it's the middle of winter here in New Zealand so it's probably just the season! haha
@thefreshpursuit2 жыл бұрын
Hi! There're a lot of factors that could be contributing to a lower resting heart rate including your activity levels. If you're doing excessive cardio like HIIT that is going to give you a lower resting heart rate, but also stress your body by raising cortisol and that stresses your metabolism. So yes, that's a good sign your metabolism is struggling. There's much more to it - that's why I do one-on-one coaching :)

I try to just eat max 1800 calories a day because I'm just 5' tall. So would the 2,000 calories still apply?

This is a more specific question and I'd have to know more about your history and what you're currently doing vs giving a less helpful generalized question! That's exactly why I started doing one-on-one coaching :)

Can we safely be mostly vegetarian and pro-metabolic? I do eat fish, eggs, yogurt, cheese, and the likes, but no matter how hard I try, I can't get myself to eat meat of any kind. I do however take liver supplements and collagen powder.

Do you gain weight on this pro metabolic diet

I'm all in but am pretty discouraged that most people are saying weight gain is inevitable. I got here in pursuit of weight loss. Of course I want to heal but I'm already not slim and will likely gain more😭

I feel like most of the people who are for prometabolic are already fit/skinny. are there any who have lost weight on this diet? I feel like this is similar to Keto and Keto wrecked me, I gained SO much. the only things that work for me are vegan and intermittent fasting. But I am finding I always go through a month of just binging out, probably because I'm starved even though I am seeing the weightloss I want. I just can't keep it up.
@AlessiaDonatocoaching2 жыл бұрын
Have you tried tracking your calorie intake and macros? Both Keto and Pro metabolic, and any other diet for that matter can make you gain weight if you eat more than your body needs. That said, veganism and IF are probably the worst when it comes to metabolic health. Id suggest tracking your calories and macros first using myfitnesspal or chronometer, ensure you have all 3 macros in each meal. Start with just understanding your baseline. If you're eating less than 1500 calories - focusing on weight loss or a calorie deficit will not work because you're eating already too low calories. If you find that you're actually over eating (more than 2200 calories) then cut about 200-300 calories each day and you'll start to see some weight loss. I do also recommend working with a coach. However, if its not possible...the principles are always the same. 1. balanced macros. 2. eat enough calories. 3. strength train x3 a week 4. do cardio x2 a week/walk daily get 10k steps 4. sleep enough and monitor stress. Then once your basics are met - you can toggle it up or down when it comes to calories.
