Really interesting to hear you guys talk about the skyrocketing material prices. $5.87 for the cheapest, lowest quality 2x4 at home depot. That's almost triple the pre pandemic price. It's like at what point is it cheaper for residential builders to switch to steel!

Great guy wouldn't mind working for him. Exactly same issues in OZ. Shortage of materials and delays. The big issue with the labour has nothing to do with the trade. The kids from the so called developed countries are too pampered and too soft to work a physical job. I am a 40 year Carpentry veteran. Our generation were brought up to work. Today the kids are brought up to sponge. Get used to bringing in foreign labour because that is the future.
