Hi, where does the stress go in "already"? I heard you say "AW-ready"
@brunopinheiro54562 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that in this word the stress falls on the second syllable: al *REA* dy

Thanks for the question, Alexander! The L in "already" is a dark L, and this sound can sometimes be confused for the AW or OW sound, but I promise I pronounced a dark L in this video :) You have the stress correct - it's on the second syllable. If you'd like me to help you with the dark L sound, come to my next live class at Julie's Conversation Club (courses.sandiegovoiceandaccent.com/courses/julies-conversation-club) - I'd be happy to help!
