Thanks for making these videos, Chris. Yours was some of the best Eurobike coverage this year. Did they say anything about Enviolo Automatic coming to the Load next year? Their technology page mentions it as a gear system they offer, but I’m not sure where they plan to use it. I know it was mentioned in your Urban Arrow and Tern videos, but I’d love to see it on the Load as well.
@Propelbikes5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I’m glad you liked the videos. The Automatic won’t be on the Load next year, we might see it in the future, but the new version is still pretty new and the first version left some things to be desired. They have made some huge improvements and I think we’ll start to see it more in the future.
@nandreetta5 жыл бұрын
Propel Electric Bikes I didn’t realize there was a previous version. I really liked the Di2 shifting on the eBullitt I tried, but I found the ride a bit rough for rider and human cargo alike with all our potholes, and I have been looking more seriously at Riese and Müller for the suspension. The Tern HSD is also a contender for that reason. It’s great to be so spoiled for choice by amazing cargo bikes lately, but it also makes it harder to commit to one with the relatively high prices. Thanks again for making these videos to help consumers navigate the choices.
@Propelbikes5 жыл бұрын
My pleasure! Let me know if I can help answer any questions. I’m planning to do a review of the HSD soon as well as some videos on suspension and drivetrain technology. Stay tuned

Chris wonderful video. Would you do a video explaining 36, 48, and 52 volt batteries and systems. There are so many videos about how much stronger 48 volt systems are. But a lot of the ebikes use the bosch system with the cx motor. This seems to me to be one of the strongest motors on the market. Riese and muller use these motors exclusively. Tern as well as many other great brands use these systems. I for one am sticking with bosch for my needs. But could you weigh in on this conversation. Does the voltage alone determine power or are there other things at play here. Thankyou .............Bob
@Propelbikes5 жыл бұрын
Bob, I appreciate it and you. That’s a great idea and I will be sure to add it to my list. Perhaps I can have one of the Bosch engineers explain their philosophy. I know what my thoughts are on this topic, but it would be great to have their technical explanation.

What's the per month payment range on like the Super Delight?
@Propelbikes4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I think you’re not alone here. Depending on which Superdelite you opt for you’re looking at about $800-$1000 per month if you finance over one year. Some people have had some good luck with financing through credit unions for longer periods which could bring that monthly payment down pretty far.

I like their approach to design first and see the costs second. But to be honest they (as well as the other major brands) are just getting ever more expensive. Low end disruption is happening, but we are not seeing it in Europe because of the chinese tariffs...
@Propelbikes5 жыл бұрын
I think the low end bikes are still mostly Chinese made, but there’s not much that compares on the premium end. The design and engineering isn’t so easy to just copy although some try. These bikes are breaking the boundaries of what an ebike should be and a higher price comes with that. I’m sure they could find ways to make the bikes cheaper, but I value the fact that their more focused on performance and the actual experience of the user. There are plenty of brands that are focusing on making a cheaper bike.

Why is it still not possible to have an abs system on rohloff hub. Because with the other hubs is this possible? Had really hoped that this was going to be 2020. The choice to drive with comfort and all safety from abs system and control system.
@Propelbikes5 жыл бұрын
ABS will be available outside of the US, but it’s my suspicion that we will see the next generation of ABS in the states whenever that comes. Bosch needs to take a very conservative stance when it comes to safety and liability in the US since we’re such a litigious society. This is a common stance with most companies from Germany in my experience.
@r4z0r15 жыл бұрын
I read that it's because there is no compatible combination of break disc (for additional speed sensor) and rohloff hub.
@devossander5 жыл бұрын
@@r4z0r1 Okay thanks but if I understand correctly at rohloff is electric hub and because of this there is something extra on the bike. Where normally speed meter had to come from the abs. And with the nuvinci there is that place for abs. So the choice that I have is abs and nuvinci hub or just the rohloff hub ..... 🤔
@Propelbikes5 жыл бұрын
Sorry I think I misread the question, ABS isn’t compatible with any Eshift bikes and I believe this is due to concerns about a communication collision on the CAN bus. When Eshift was initially introduced there was an issue with other communication on the system and this has since been resolved, but I think it’s risky if that potential exists with the braking system. Some companies are starting to experiment with a third party ABS on Bosch bikes, maybe we will see that happen with Eshift. Magura and Bosch are really close partners though so I don’t see a direct integration there anytime soon although I could see Bosch buying one of those companies if their tech is good.
