My custom orthotic did not come with a cover. They are carbon fiber. Do I put it under the sneaker insert that comes with the shoe or do I put my orthotic on top of the standard sneaker insole?

Wrap the orthotic with a thin nonsmooth cloth & tape it on the underside of the orthotic, maybe.

If you can get hold of a surgical patch(large sized) that comes with glue preapplied, that can be simply wrapped over the insole.

Do I still buy stability shoes even though my orthos are for overpronating?

Yes, the stability shoes(which resist torsion) will augment your orthotic to prevent the ankle from rolling inwards.

Except the orthotics fit her…the liners from the shoes did not they were too small in length and toe box width. So you effectively cut the orthotics to also not fit and be too small for her.

Hi.. I have a question. I just received my Orthotics today and I dont think they fit right. The arch of the Orthotic hits the ball of my heal b4 my arch. I told the specialist it didn't feel rite and he said thats how they work. can you clarify this for me. thank you .

Wow .... very informative. After refusing the 1st option of a $450 special orthotic... I purchased the $55 Full Length Pure Stride Orthotic. My orthotics were handed to me .... and I was on my way. Unfortunately, when I got home, they didn't fit into ANY of my shoes. I bought a pair of sneakers that they would fit into ... and now the shoe is too big and slips up and down. I think I need another podiatrist.
