I love how these guys intro their videos with clips of former presidents talking about the sacredness of democracy in their literal training videos on how to usurp our democracy.

So, another words, go in and elevate MAGA-minded people to high positions, modify the message to reflect positive only on the administration, and dont question things. Truth? Not part of "the mission".

This is what they all do. You’re certainly not so incredibly naïve is to think that they don’t do this kind of stuff on the Democrat side, are you? The differences we don’t have their training videos. We don’t have the curriculum that their newbies have. They all do this stuff to one extent or another.

Blind Loyalty (also Blind Obedience, Unthinking Obedience, the "Team Player" appeal, the Nuremberg Defense): The dangerous fallacy that an argument or action is right simply and solely because a respected leader or source (a President, expert, one’s parents, one's own "side," team or country, one’s boss or commanding officers) says it is right. This is over-reliance on authority, a gravely corrupted argument from ethos that puts loyalty above truth, above one's own reason and above conscience. In this case a person attempts to justify incorrect, stupid or criminal behavior by whining "That's what I was told to do," or “I was just following orders." See also, The Big Brain/Little Brain Fallacy, and The "Soldiers' Honor" Fallacy.

Speaking solely on this video. I'm not exactly seeing the problem with communication employees or contractors needing to align with approved communication standards and strategies on the government's official social communication platforms (not their own individual ones). These agencies are bureaucratic entities not personal platforms for individuals under it's employment to operate under their personal views and agendas. In practice that's what the press secretary does every day and the function of public affairs. There's no infringement on press or individual account freedoms. I came here to see what the big even of project 2025 was and only see your bias. The part of your description below also needs non-biased context: "In this video, Ben Friedmann explains how political appointees can most effectively use social media to advance conservative policies and messages." Should be: "In this video, Ben Friedmann explains how government appointees can most effectively use social media to communicate administrative policies and messages via organizational alignment on goals." I'm not even a republican and can clearly see your bias on your description of this video. It seems that the goal of your organization is to promote the specific leaning partisan interpretations instead of actual journalistic integrity. While presenting the video unedited, your description is obviously is meant to influence the perception of the video to a specific interpretation and conclusion before hand. Maybe there will actual be something of actual concern in your other videos on project 2025.

I found your quibbles kinda whatever but I do agree on this video that there's not actually much to be said for it. Whatever you think of Project 2025 or Trump, this person in particular is pretty harmlessly outlining their experience as an appointee and giving like, basic management suggestions. With only a few specific-to-government issues - like the mixed hierarchy - aside, I could see this being a training video for any mid-size digital media org, with most of the advice being broadly applicable to management positions. Interesting from a technical perspective, not very relevant to a political one.
@Zero1030able2 ай бұрын
At 10:30 he says some disturbing thing about trumps government appointees shouldn't worry about push back because he's gonna pass some vague mandate. Nothing else in this video was odd to me just typical training bullshit that never lasts long because it's too complex.
@BRLambert42 ай бұрын
The staff that they are "talking too" have never been political appointees. there are thousands of jobs in Washington that stay employed thru each administration. Project 2025's intention is to fire all of those employees and replace them with people loyal to their vision.

Around 10:00 he seems to asserting that rank and hierarchy won't matter if you get pushback as long as someone higher has your back and can "send an email". Sounds a lot like they expect to have free reign and any conflicting policies or dissent won't matter to them.

I like this guy. He skips the classic anti-bureaucratic nonsense and says "it's just like any other big organisation" (yeah, they have more similarities than not). Then he's somewhat incredulous that other appointees didn't have his fortune with enacting their agenda, and basically advises them to...have a basic idea of how to manage people? lol. Really makes you wonder if some of these agency appointees would even have the people skills to manage a small-market grocery store...
