This is going to be perfect for ranching and dinking around, I thought I would save some money several years ago and bought a 4 seater utv from the wholesale power xyz sports, yes it's loaded but not USA made, hence things like no zerks to keep joints lubed easily makes it hard to steer if you don't smear grease in as best you can the tilting bed is slow (a joke really) Thank you for this video it sounds like me saving money was more of a headache, I'm going to get one of these Vikings. It's so cool that you get to camp and travel around the country having fun adventures. Be safe .

You should put a 1 mm shim between the primary sheeve on the clutch or get a epi clutch kit it will wake that machine up more power.

lol 2 wheel drive in the sand do you pull a trailer with the Viking in 4h i think he just didn't do his home work the Viking is not that bad but we all know 1000cc motor in one would be a treat

Upgrade your tires would help alot also try a clutch kit
@RadarRoadWarriors7 ай бұрын
It would. This video was talking about using the machine stock. We bought an RMAX for riding so that takes care of the sand issue and is much more enjoyable on the trails. The Viking is now just used as a work horse.

@RadarRoadWarriors I know just tossing it out there tires alone could make a world of difference I wish I had that machine

Good Video. How does it get around in the sand in 4x4? Just fine I assume? We own a 10 acre sandpit and it's pretty sandy around obviously. We also would make a few trips down our river every year when the water drops in the summer. 95% of my use will be on hard surface hunting and trails.

Hi Tyler, you can get around in sandy conditions in 4x4 but it doesn’t do well. If you took it to a sand pit in 4x4, it will still bog down and get stuck depending on how deep the sand is and the speed you are going entering the sand. I used to have a Yamaha 660 Raptor and loved playing in a sand pit with the ATV. The first day I got the Viking and took it to a sand pit, I quickly figured out I was done playing in the sand with this machine. The Viking is heavy, doesn’t have a big engine and has lower ground clearance than recreation SXS. It really likes hard packed, even terrain.

@@RadarRoadWarriors You just need to right tires. Those stock tires are not good in sand.

@@VitalYFZ good to know. We were doing the pros and cons off the machine’s factory parts.
@TecumsehRulesbcserk2 жыл бұрын
The amount of length between the front and back wheels are a critical flaw in this machine. Sure this thing runs great on the easier trails, but when you start getting into the hard stuff like rocks and sharp hills, your gonna bottom out on them and possibly get stuck. So this is one that can’t do the hard stuff which is kind of a shame, some trails that are hard have a huge payoff that makes them worth it. Such as amazing views and landmarks that not everyone has seen.

The viking is definitely a work horse and bottoms out on low terrain.

Did you put a 2" lift on? If so, has that caused any problems with the driveline or CV joints?

Our machine is stock, we never made any modifications to it.

When you are pulling the 5th wheel with your truck, what do you pull the Viking with?

Right now we make two trips and spend 2-4 weeks trail riding to make the extra driving trip worth it. We sold our toy hauler when we went full time RVing to get a RV that had livable space with larger appliances. The next RV we will get will be a toy hauler again. We are just waiting for a floor plan that will fit our needs. We found one that would work but would still need to do quite a bit of modifications to make it work for us and we don’t want to do that to a brand new RV.

Do you haul it in your rv? It is long ,I'm having a hard time finding a toy hauler garage long enough to fit it
@RadarRoadWarriors2 жыл бұрын
We originally hauled it in this toy hauler with a 14’ garage. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pInUeHR6htR2g9E We since went full-time and upgraded RVs and do not have the toy hauler anymore. Right now when we ride, we make 2 trips or leave our SXS at our friends house and camp out in his yard. When we make 2 trips, we ride for 2-3 weeks at a time.
