Favorite pro about Delray Beach is the neighborhoods. Even away from the downtown the neighborhoods east of Route 1 are quiet, walkable and bikeable. Great mix of shade and sun as you stroll or roll along. Same goes for the side streets on the Atlantic side, where you can explore the incredibly lushly landscaped multi-million dollar homes without being ushered out of the neighborhoods. It’s open to all to walk around and dream that you too might one day be able to afford one of those old bungalows or villas.

@@PalmBeachesPaul I’ve been living in The Philippines for going on 5 years, with a few months in Vietnam. I lived at Porta Bella on Jeffery Street in Boca for seven years before that. And lately I’ve been thinking of coming back and picking up a residence (condo or townhouse, I think) that I can use half the year, and spend the other half out here in SE Asia. I’ve looked ALL over Florida, from Marco Island and Naples to Bradenton and Sarasota and Clearwater, to St Augustine down to Jupiter, but nothing seems to offer the cycling, beach, boating and activity environment that I had living in Palm Beach County. So after scouring Realtor dot com for the last year during lockdown here, I’m back looking at Boca to Boynton, and Delray is the best of those three towns. I’ve seen price increases recently as more and more people seek a nice home to nest in and work from, and FL has been the target of a lot of people’s work-from-home dreams. Luckily, when I sold my condo in Boca in Sept 2016 (899 Jeffery St 5060) I put $226k of the proceeds into 2000 shares of my favorite stock (Apple) and left it there. That’s over $1 million now, so I can justify paying a lot more to repurchase when I return later this year or early 2022. The real estate price increases are a fraction of the returns I got on that one investment. I’ll look you up when I’m getting closer to my return.

@@PalmBeachesPaul my channel has been dormant this last year; the lockdown here was actually the longest in the world, and nearly as strict as Wuhan. We needed passes to leave our residence and then could go only to the grocery, pharmacy or doctor (if needed). Couldn’t drive our vehicles except on alternating days according to last digit of license plate, etc. So there was no way to make travel videos. It’s just beginning to open here now, so I expect I’ll get to it soon. But thanks for the sub. You got mine too and I’ll email you to exchange contact info.

Con: An invisible line on Atlantic Ave going from east to west. Once you cross the tracks you go from a really cool atmosphere to run down. It really needs a refresh

Holy crow! I left Boca Raton for the Philippines in late 2016 and I just saw at the 8:46 mark in your video that same pink car I always saw when riding my bike up A1a to Delray’s gorgeous beach. That car is hideous, and famous, I guess.

South Palm Beach iw very nice, you're close to the Lake Worth Pier, Downtown Lake Worth but you're also close to the Town of Palm Beach. Mostly condos.

It's definitely a little quieter, has lots of nice condos, some of them in the millions of dollars a couple very fancy hotels nearby but no restaurants other than the Dune Deck Cafe in Lantana and a couple restaurants up at the Lake Worth Pier but really you have to drive into downtown Lake Worth or Palm Beach, West Palm Beach to do any type of shopping and dining as opposed to Delray Beach where you have Atlantic Avenue which has everything you could ever want for shopping and dining not to mention condos Townhomes single family homes and Villas to choose from although still very expensive depending on what and how close to the beach you want to live
