The thing that scares me but also what I love about ttyd is the implications of the shadow queen possessing peach. Think about it. Peach is literally CANONICALLY a star child as proven by her close link to the star people. Now imagine if Mario lost.....yeah....it's flipping terrifying.

King olly’s final final phase is the best out of any paper mario bosses. It’s quite easy when you see what you gotta do but the amount of QTE’S make up for it. They’re all so satisfying to watch and with the epic theme playing in the background it makes you believe your in a threatening situation.

As a man who very much loves Origami King, I can say that the game's final boss is the best in terms of keeping the player engaged at all times. Is it easy? Yeah. Is Olly's reason for being the bad guy kinda dumb? For sure. BUT, I can say that fighting him is amazing and the production value of his boss fight is off the charts! As for the boss that felt like a legitimate threat in terms of the story, I'd give it to Bowser in the first ever Paper Mario game. Sure the Shadow Queen was end-of-the-world threatening, but she kinda just popped out by the end of the game. Bowser in the first Paper Mario game though? A consistent threat from beginning until the end; a few dumb and funny moments here and there but he was always cookin up something evil to prevent Mario from doing anything. Plus, the atmosphere of his boss fight just screamed "THIS IS WHAT COLLECTING ALL THOSE GOD DAMN STAR SPIRITS HAS BEEN LEADING UP TO" One last thing...were the cutscenes for the final boss fight of Super Paper Mario always that long? Cause it felt like it was more of that than actual fighting.

Well I wouldn’t say Olly’s reason to be evil was dumb. It’s like an emotional impact on that scribble as if it were a real scar. I see it as if he was actually literally scarred by the person who was supposed to make him the way he was meant to be. He feels like the mark makes him imperfect and he wants the toads to feel his pain. When the battle ends he feels guilty for letting that mark go to his head. There’s always a reason for someone’s anger.

@@MSDKZfangirl2490 This is so deep in an other perspective. In the art of the origami, the purest origami crafts are only made with paper. With no glue, no scissor, or PENCILS. The Toad who create Olly didnt actually follow this rules on his origami creations, cause in the game explained he use most of this materials for his crafts. And when create Olly with the paper that has the message, Olly didnt see the message as something good, he saw as some kind of big neglect by his creator. Making Olly impure. So when Olly created Olivia, he enssured that her sister had the purity that he will never had. But thing purity firebacked. Making Olivia not helping his brother, because the same purity in her not only make her the innocent, cute and lovable character that we loved. It make her see that the action of his brother were just wrong and awful . That "scribble" make Olly felt huge hate and rage for himself, and letting this feeling not only take the best of him, but hurting others who even didnt deserve. And with the betrayed of his own sister, plus if we think his kinda of a teenager (and remember that teenagers are people that arent so emotionally stable and he is probably an emo type). Make him to make awful decisions, becaming worse than the last one. When Olivia talked about love, just became worst indirectly, because he was unable to love himself because of that scar of impurity. And we know Olly did awful and unforgivable things (you know what I mean) . all this shit happen was because of a misunderstending. This so sad, because this show how love can make more hurt than good. Of how love can be misunderstand as negligence and later becoming hate. I hope this would clarify on Olly's villian motive. Post-data Something else that we learn is NEVER PLAYED AS GOD.

Paper Jam was my FIRST Mario & Luigi / Paper Mario game. I barely knew anything about either series when I got the game. Heck, I didn’t really even know anything about Mario. Paper Jam's final boss is really difficult if far easier than the previous game's one, but there's this interesting glitch you can use to just instantly win the fight and skip the boss' second phase.

Weird how there are only three games in the series with final bosses (TTYD, SPM, and TOK) that don't have Bowser as THE final boss you face. And even TTYD and SPM are technically you fighting Peach and Luigi.

@triplebluethreat6823 imagine there's a paper mario game involving time travel at one point where an "ally" of info would make mario and his companions to recollect all 7 star sprites, with the star rod, the stars that open to the 1000 year door, chaos heart & pure hearts, along with all sticker crowns that were parts of the sticker star comet, all paint stars & black paint, while finally the corpse of king oily which was refolded into an crane origami that you give to said "ally" to make a wish with the star sprites and the star rod only for that "ally" to to wish for omnipotence, absorbing EVERYTHING you've recollected along the way to actually become THE TOP GOD of all of creation itself as a whole and simply requests mario to be the first to knell before him/her/them 😳

I hope the next set of paper mario games expand on origami kings battling system. It hardly needs tweaking, it just needs maybe to nerf mario’s attacks a bit and buff enemies healths so you don’t 1 hot KO them. Also the variety of enemies in game is good but it would be even better if we saw more. Like where are those boxing looking ghosts for example.

Press F in the chat for olly and Olivia Olly was a bad king but he learned his lesson And Olivia sacrificed herself wishing for all the origami that her brother folded be undone and she is folded by her brother so that’s the reason why she doesn’t appear in the normal ending There is a ending where the origami craftsman puts on Olly and Olivia in the origami castle miniature it’s only a miniature of they both and it’s a lovely ending but that ending you only get if you collect every collectibles in the game and fill every hole with confetti it’s a 100% ending only you only get if you do what I said collect every collectibles of every area and fill every hole with confetti in every area that’s a tip for this ending
