I did it with Subspace Emissary, like I'm sure most people did. Brawl will always hold a special place in my heart. It may not be the best Smash Bros. game anymore, but I love the first 3 games all the same! Subspace was just so epic and full of surprises back in the day. There is never really an experience quite like it since! Man, the music and everything...this game was just so...perfect! If I could relive it as a kid again, I would!

Honestly Smash Bros Brawl is still my favorite nintendo game. It was the first one I've ever played, (besides new super mario bros for ds,) and it was the one I played the most. So many memories with this game. The character unlockings, getting the all-star trophies, and listening to that music for the first time was all SO freaking amazing when I was littler. For me, Marth, Luigi, Ness and Sonic are usually the first 4 characters I unlock. The first time I unlocked Lucario was with Peach and afterward unlocked a lot of the other characters with him.

Here is what I think is the easiest way to unlock each character: Ness: vs matches (5) Marth: complete classic mode Luigi: complete classic mode whitout using a continue Falco: 100 man brawl (the trick is to spam donkey kong's down special) Capitan falcon: complete classic mode on normal or higher whithin 12 minutes Lucario: vs matches (100) Snake: vs matches on shadow moses island (15) R.O.B.: vs matches (160) Ganondorf: classic mode on hard or higher whit link or zelda (i prefer link) Mr game and watch: vs matches (250) Sonic: classic mode whit 10 characters Jiglypuff: vs matches (350) (making thia the hardest character to unlock) Toon link: subspace emesary Wolf: subspace emesary

I am realizing the SMB series are just basically upgrades to the game because I recognize lot of these stages and items from the latest SMB release and the character turning white when it charges. The easiest way I have unlocked these characters was playing matches. It's been so long since I last played this game I don't even know if I have all the stages and characters. I remember Toon Link being the toughest to unlock and I had to keep playing classic mode and enter through a door to challenge him. This video makes me want to play this version again but my brother is borrowing it.

Thanks for making this video, it brings back so many memories when used to playing this game. I remember the first time playing this game.. Me and my mom rent it from family video and I played it on my wii. I remember the first character I played as and what map I was on. I first played as mario and I was on the rising level that had the waterfall that looked like a mario stage. To be honest, I actually think it was a mario stage. But anyways, I remember playing and struggling with the level because I was holding the controller upwards and not sideways. I did this because I played plenty of other wii games and I was used to just holding it upwards. And also, the first character I first challenged to try and unlock them was Sonic. I'm pretty sure I lost, though. I used Mario in that stage.

I loved brawl because it had Solid Snake and Wolf and Sonic! I wish Wolf and Snake were in Super Smash Bros Wii U! Dark Pit, Lucina and Dr.Mario are a waste of characters! Dr. Mario should just be an outfit for Mario, Lucina should be able to be swapped by changing outfits from Marth into her. Kind of like Corrin and Robbin! Oh and the same should have been for Dark Pit!

Awesome video,and the way i unlock all the character was by playing through and completing subspace emissary. I love this game nonetheless and my main is mario and sonic. I bet next would be either smash 64 or smash 4( 3ds or wii u) bc I guessing this is the road to Smash 5 for Switch. Smash bros series is one of my favorite game series.

Fun Fact: JigglyPuff was ALMOST cut in Brawl, however "she" made it into the game. Toon Link and Wolf were last minute edition newcomers, that's why these three don't play a role in Subspace.

Both Jigglypuff and Wolf were supposed to appear in the Subspace Emissary. Jigglypuff was supposed to first appear in the Ruins before Ivysaur and Charizard, while Wolf was originally supposed to first appear in the Swamp, before Falco. I currently don’t know where Toon Link was supposed to first appear in.
