Newbie gold panner here, only been out twice. Not sure about the regs. Can we just pan anywhere? What if we are panning on someone’s claim? I’ve only panned at Yale and Coquhalla reserves. Any advice would be great, thanks. Cheers 🍻

@@Weztcoastguy just about anyway you can pan. As long as the fish are not breeding. Don't get caught on someone else's claim without permission. Some of us still play by the 1800's rules and law of the Old West 🤣😂. There are some good books in your area that might help you out 👍🙂.

@@Weztcoastguy Great to see your getting into it bro!! You need to check the MTO website ( mineral title's online) I believe it is, they list all the claimed areas in individual creeks and rivers ect. There are several free panning reserves to the public throughout BC, also listed online. Some creeks are also no claim zones, which entitles you to basically prospect the entire creek system. Some claim owners will grant permission to individuals who wish to pan on specific claims also.
