Keep in mind that Delayed Blast Fireball's cast from exile effect applies to any instance you cast it from exile, not just when you cast it after foretelling it. So if you hit it off impulse draw, you can basically cast it for 3 mana and still have it do 5 damage to all your opponents' stuff. That means that, in the right deck, you're doing an instant speed one-sided board wipe for chump change.

This card seems great in syr carah. Even if you don't cast it from exile, it's still an impulse draw three and kill a random dork or something

With venture forth you didnt mention that each time it is cast it's a spell from exile and a land from exile, that's two wolves on top of the ramp. Probably not enough to save the card, but definitely makes it much better

Delayed blast fireball is so flexible! Love it. 2 damage is good against token and 5 is a good average

spell copying effects? That's just a panharmonicon. Turns out everything is a panharrmonicon. Wound Reflection? Furnace of rath? Damage Panharmonicon. Heartbeat of Spring? Mana panharmonicon. Reflections of Littjara? Tribal panharmonicon. Panharmonicon is the new kicker XD

This is not a new ability to Magic though. Ouphe Vandals did the same thing in 5th Dawn (only to artifacts though). I guess Teferi's response even already did it in Invasion.

It's different enough that they're not putting out a "second" Prosper. No treasure/artifact synergies, it'll be a lot harder to play it as a control/value deck.

You can only use backgrounds with a Commander that has the text "Choose a background" - so only a handful of new commanders from the new set.

@@damo9961 Yes, but no. You can only have them in the command zone if they have the text "Choose a Background". In the 98 of a partner deck that synergizes with them, yeah they're pretty sweet.

I feel like green despite not being known as a good support color like white or blue, the sheer pushing that it’s been out through over the years just reinforces wotc to use the color as a crutch for a good few other commanders precons they’ve made over the years.
