Prostate artery embolization is a minimally invasive treatment for BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) that helps to alleviate symptoms in the lower urinary tract. BPH is a noncancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. The prostate artery embolization works by inserting a small catheter into the arteries that supply the prostate gland. Tiny particles are injected into the artery, obstructing blood flow. prostate embolization has a high success rate, with high percentage of men getting relief in the first year.
