I actually got my first order in from these guys today. I bought two Game Boy cases just to see how they are. I was pretty impressed, especially given the fair price. The artwork for Tetris isn't the greatest, although part of that is due to the black text on dark purple that the actual boxart had. The cases are very solid and hold the games very nicely. They don't have a deathgrip on the carts, but it grips it pretty nicely. The only major nitpick I have is that it did take a while to get my order, probably about a month or so. From what I understand, this seems to be a one-man operation, so I don't mind the long wait very much. Just expect a bit of a wait if you do order from them.

Hmmm.... that is pretty tempting. NONE of my NES games still have the case that came with the game and only a few even still have the dust sleeves. It would cost me a pretty penny to get them all sleeved up. I think these cases are helpful for cartridges that don't have end labels, or oddly shaped carts like Atari Jaguar. I emailed the company and asked about Famicom cases, and they said they have plans for them. There is another company called Retrogamecases that has similar products, but a little more expensive. It can be very expensive to buy CIB games with original boxes, so buying a loose cart and repro case is much more affordable.

I would recommend these cases but if you plan to order in bulk they can get pretty expensive and wait times on orders can take awhile. (They are usually behind). I'd say wait for an inevitable black friday discount and order then if you plan to case most of your collection. You can also request custom inserts for the cases but I think it costs slightly more. For example requesting an insert for a repro/rom hack or something like a gameboy advance video cartridge.

I’m a fan of Mario 64, but I definitely much prefer the DS remake version since it offered so much more, despite the use of d pad controls & no analog control unless you’re playing on a 3DS. As for the cases, I’ve bought from them several times, specifically only Gameboy, Gameboy Color & Gameboy Advance cases. Despite it taking a bit of time to receive your orders after purchase from them, the wait is more than worth it. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. The quality of the cases is just excellent along with the covers printed in nice high quality high gloss paper & I love the ability to store the manual too. For the longest time I just had my Gameboy games just stored in a plastic bag which I hated doing & since just about nobody kept their original cardboard cases for Gameboy along with NES, SNES & Virtual Boy. I couldn’t recommend their product more, perfect for people looking to store their original games for a good price instead of torturing yourself to find the original packaging in good condition & for a very good & reasonable price.

NOT a fan of Mario 64, Mario in my brain is a 2D sidescroller, i had a SNES and a GameBoy and Super Mario World and Land were IT for me, all the early wonky 3D stuff from the N64 i missed, i was already on PC at that time, no N64 for me so there is no nostalgia for that stuff what-so-ever. A friend had a N64 and i just HATED the controller, i don't have 3 hands. As a matter of fact, i also do not like Zelda anymore ever since it went 3D, give me a new one that looks and plays like A Link to the Path any day, but in 3D? nah! that ain't Zelda for me. F-Zero X is fun to emulate these days (with resolution upscaling to 1080p and Widescreen and HD hacks it looks and plays almost like a modern game and i can finally use a proper gamepad with it and not that abomination for people with 3 hands) but even then i prefer the SNES version over it because i played that over and over for years.
@RoXolid4 жыл бұрын
if you haven't gone back to the system since then, I highly recommend checking it out by using a retro Fighters brawler 64 or retro-bit tribute 64. These are modern-day controllers and you don't need to depend on that trident design. With that, I have to say I have more love for the N64 now than I did then back in the day. And Link to the past and Super Mario World are two of my favorite games of all time so I hear where you're coming from. but 3D Super Mario games, Super Mario 64, Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3D World, these are all amazingly fun titles.
