Until there's a bug fix, I would keep Heroic Treasure (the ones you carry) as close the ground as possible. Currently, Heroic treasure is falling through the foundations when the server restarts. No issue with the chest loot treasure.

There are rock plateaus in the game that I feel make purges very difficult. In my opinion the best location for an anti purge location is the savanna/desert rock plateau in the north of the Savanna. Where the meadows rivers turn into waterfalls. You can use a northern meadows hill that rises most of the vertical distance to the plateau. Create a drawbridge system to span the horizontal distance and then build on the plateau. The plateau now connected via a draw bridge should make is a purgeable structure but it is so high that i think it will be tough for siege engines to do serious damage to you except the gate towers and bridge but the very act of attacking this keeps your treasures safe. location of the area I mean. It is west of the western most river of the four rivers that run south and drain the lake in H8. The lake around Telith's Island. The desert plateau is just west of that river where a bunch of wolves spawn with cubs and the plateau has a smaller raise area in the north east corner of the platue looking due east and slightly north (very slightly north) you should see the meadows hill that you can span a bridge across to. You will need a foundation tower to create span the distance but making the top of that meadows hill your gate house you can set up decent defenses. And if they destroy the foundation tower they can't cross the bridge so they can't reach your treasure. The plateau is large enough for most base needs. I think building high makes siege weapons less effective for the attackers and should be exploited.

i have built my base on top oh the highway ( the one NE of the Unnamed City to the southern aqueduct) right in the low right corner of F8, right from the staircase where the python lies, up to the end in the NE. my treasure room is in the part of the highway, that is fully enclosed from both sides and ceiling, and only the "highway" has 2 openings ( with my own fortifications of cause ) one leading to a dead end ledge, where you can practice tower jumping into the river and the other leading into my workplace area of the base with another fortification right in front of the staircase. I have had no purges targeting m,y base so far, so i have no idea where the normal purge spawn point for ine is, but i prepare as best as i can for an in base spawn.

In season 1 of Age of War my biggest issue is to carry the treasure to my base. Playing on PVP server maybe exciting but I am playing singelplayer/coop to that makes carrying treasure tedious. In season 2 of Age of War the question is how good will the AI be at attacking the treasury base? In 7 Days to Die the AI is clever enough to attack the weakest part of your base to get to you. If I am not mistaken the building the treasury in its own separate base far from your crafting base is a good idea. In season 3 of Age of War the question is how strong will the siege camps of the Purge be?

Im not sure if im the only one but theres a bug there the heroic treasure goes under the base. The server i play, every time the server restart the heroic treasure goes all the way down bottom of the base.

Yeah, count on funcom that it all functions smoothly and you can perfectly protect you treasure. I once had a suspended base. When the purge came I killed most npcs on ground level until one of them vanished in the mesh and destroyed my blacksmith with named thrall and all my star metal and then just teleported in its place like 20 foundations above the ground. Only then could I finally kill it and end the purge with absolutely no possibility to prevent the damage

I've built the treasure room on water, one side of my base is built on the noob river shores, water is inaccessible til now (don't know if will change those mechanics) but from river side is safe. The other side i built a fortified wall for all the length of the base, now all depends on how the stygians will attack and in which numbers... anyway let's see as soon as the chapter 2 will be released.

I think Purge NPCs ought to be able to climb...make use of the crenelated walls and seige cauldron.

I could maybe see them being able to climb smaller terrain like the platform I built on, but not full on cliff faces. I built there mainly just because it's flat and easy to show off a build on there 😂

I also think that having a treasure room in a pillar type base might work where the only access is via teleportation stones.

That could work, but it depends on how the purge calculation works. I'm presuming there will be incentives to encourage you to want to summon a purge, and I'm unsure if they'll be able to spawn if they can't access the treasure room on foot

We have a mountain base, put the treasure room at the top of the mountain. They have to get through multiple outer walls, and the rest of our entire base to reach it.

It will be interesting to know how the AI handles un-purgeable bases. Like maybe the purge just won't trigger which would be fine, no rewards for the player. Or they just build 20 trebuchets and bombard your untouchable clifftop tower to dust from a distance? Very excited to find out how the new purge will work regardless. Currently mass producing hardened bricks, steel reinforcements and shaped wood to build a treasure castle (on a friends server with no creative mode).

i built my treasure room inside The Crevice cave with 4-5 gate houses and a massive tower that rises out of the pit in the back of the cave with a classic layered wall like Minas Tirith that goes up the mountain with archer guards lining the south cave entrance with 3 "guard houses" in the cave i just hope the purge won't do what it has been doing and spawns in the base and make it pointless to build a real castle or fortress if the game just cheats

impressive idea, however reality tends to work otherwise: the AI pathfinding in conan is rather bad, so odds are they wont be able to detect that impressive route you made to the room and thus will most likely trigger: route not found, and activate teleport inside base/treasure room

I very much doubt they'll be able to teleport inside the base, given they'll be based out of a Forward Operating Base. Logic would say that the FOB must be spawned outside of your land claim, though ofc we'll have to see if that actually plays out

Carrying those treasures is so dumb. U need to build maproom near treasure spawn points and then teleport while u carry it. Assuming u have also ur base near obelisk.

Imho, Funcom could have done a better job with the treasure chest. First, the values of the treasures you can find are all too little. 450 for the ones you need to carry to your portal or whatever, is insanely little considering I can farm gold or silver in half the time for even more chest value. Instead of 450 these should be at least 1k, even more, imho. Second, I don't get why Relic Fragments aren't a treasure. Having said that, why aren't the boss loots like the Giant Kings Diadem, or the tears of 2 Races, etc. a treasure? But why are Serpentmen Statues a treasure instead? Treasures shouldn't be craftable at all. As counterintuitive it might sound, but gold and silver shouldn't be Treasure either for gameplay reasons. Hording treasures should be a major gameplay part. As it is now, it is simply a visit to the volcano to farm gold. At least make finding treasures in the wild as valuable as farming gold.

I definitely agree, some of the treasure values feel a bit low in terms of where you'd expect them to land. I'm guessing it was aimed as a more spontaneous "you're at this camp and find some cool treasure", but I could definitely see a value rebalance coming in the future. I'm guessing Power Frags and Diadem, Tear etc aren't classed as loot because they have important in-game uses. I kinda agree with treasures not being craftable, but I think the middle ground is probably to lower the coin value so you can't spam craft and come back an hour later to thousands and thousands. Then again, if it makes the purge much harder, that might be a good tradeoff

If they are just going to target the treasure room, will just build a treasure room only, with massive defences a distance from my actual base. Take the war away from my actual valuables, which are my lvl 4 thralls, steel, oil, dragon powder, star metal and alchemical base.

I'm not sure if they will currently, but I imagine they'll be able to do so in Chapter 2. That being said, because it's opt-in you'll have to call them yourself, so you can do it as and when you please, or not at all

@@infernohellknight I suspect it will be like the Surge on Siptah, higher tiers of attackers can be summoned if you use more and more treasure... it would be in line with what they hinted at. I hope to see some footage of the actual new purge before I get attacked myself. Hate to fight unprepared 🙂

I already saw this coming so I built a vault in the Easter barracks in the bit underneath, full pvp style fence stack honeycombed the sh!t out of it lol. then build a massive base around it. if real humans struggle to get in a place like that I think Im safe against Funcoms super amazingly great Ai programming 🤣🤣

Whoever thought it was cute to get rid of purge in noob river was really stupid! How so well jee now noob river is cluttered with massive bases. Just cause you are new doesn't mean you should be exempt from the games mechanics! Or doesn't give you the right to exploit the game either. Theres a reason why its called noob river its not veterans river.

@@6Vlad6Tepes6 Npc AI was always weak, now they nerfed npc hp bcuz the casual crowd screeched they were too tough (somehow). Night time now has that aura around you, 'cause god forbid night being pitch black in a survival game. Thralls are now done in 1hr tops, ruining the value of getting a good thrall by making them just another resource to farm (not to mention the pvp aspect of it). And then the worst: the combat changes. The new stamina system was done with casuals and scrubs in mind, and now combat, and the game in general is broken. You can roll and sprint forever (in heavy armor even), pvp is now braindead spam roll and sprinting, and weapon balance now favours weaker weapons like serpent-men and hardened steel, instead of obsidian and khari. Star metal being the only exception. I suspect this was done so weaker players could access top tier weapons more easily. All this on top of the fact that you've been able to buy thralls, tools and resources from vendors; all top tier too.

@@alexandrepereira7521 I agree about the NPCs being weak they still are weak definitely needs to be more challenging I don't think things needs to have an insane amount of health to be challenging look at elden ring sure that's not Conan exiles. But anyways as for your casual players you so call it I'm sorry I'm gonna go ahead and call your horse shit I'm a veteran of both pve and pvp which is why I mainly play on Pve conflict now when they finally made this change to stamina it allowed other builds to be viable rather than that bullshit m.e.t.a build that's been used for how long now since the game has fucking started I shouldn't be forced to play your fucking style to be viable in combat! Not everyone wants to be a rogue assassin some people want to be a barbarian! But I'm sure you probably don't know the difference between them. And why there's all these fucking weapons or jee how armor actually works! And the only reason our builds weren't viable is do to stamina regen just because we wore heavy armor which on top the stun lock bullshit do to spamming light attacks non stop because it barely consumed any stamina. But then again daggers actually didn't do shit to plate armor let alone swords didn't either and even most arrows didn't penetrate plate armor.
