Good to see your mum didn't raise a quitter. Shes still there in your heart and memories driving you forward and helping you be the best Kevin you can be. Every day is mothers day with just a thought and thanks in her direction. Loving your content and the Cutlass build. Go in peace and keep the black dog far behind you. I remember when my Mother passed and I was having a tough time. I called a friend who had lost his mother many years earlier and asked him when it got better. He said he’d call me when it happened. Your Mom is special and she will always be in your heart. So remember your Mom on Mother’s Day and you folks who can, please be sure to see or at least call her. You’ll be happy one day that you did.

Kevin, thank you for sharing life with us, being vulnerable about some hard sad times in life ain't always easy to share. Sounds like your mum was is important to you and she was a real loving mum to be round. Having Cleet, a friend closer than a brother is a good mate, to carry you through tuff times. Kevin you have a great caring, gentle spirit, what a great man, father, partner, friend, boss you are. You will rise up on wings of eagles, you will walk n not be faint, you will run and not grow weary. God bless.

Dang... I lost my mom a while back. At the time, I had been out of school for a few years, was ONLY focused on my career, and just wasn't speaking to my family much. It wasn't a big falling out or anything, just moved to different city and all. Outta nowhere, mom passes away visiting family. No need to feel bad anyone who reads this, it was a while ago... just a reminder to speak to ur mom if she's around. 😁

Good advice Kevin. I lost my mom to breast cancer when I was 16...and lost my dad when I was 20. I did CPR on my dad for 30 min after he had a stroke. You don’t stop missing them, but if you look close in the mirror, you get closer to them every day. You honor them best by being comfortable being yourself...the object of their love as you love your daughters. Blessed all around.

My mom passed a few years ago after suffering early onset Alzheimer's. She lived for well over 15 years as basically a vegetable. I wouldn't wish this on anyone and I know my mom would have been mortified to see herself in those years. I was thankful when she passed. On the other hand, it really hit hard when my dad passed a few years prior to mom. He was full of vim and vigor until he wasn't. We had a running gag that I called him every Mother's Day and wished him well on his special day. Even my mom thought that was funny. There are so many things my parents taught me and I've tried to pass that knowledge to my kids. Thankfully, all three of them call anytime they have a questions or a problem. I might not have an answer, but I do listen and try to guide them as I can. One of my fondest memories is flying home to surprise my dad with beer and cheese curds at meine Schwestern bar for his 84th birthday. Cherish them while you can.

I'm going to subscribe, I've watched you and referred others to you for too long not to be a subscriber. I'm glad your Mom lives on in your memory. Missing the small things are hard to deal with on days like today. Mostly my kids not groaning up with grandmothers is prolly the hardest of all. Hug your loved ones every day everyone. We don’t get to keep them forever and the time we do is always too short. Take the opportunity whenever you can to make memories that last and relish the little things as those are what’s missed the most when they’re no longer around.

Each person's journey through grieving is as unique as a snowflake, and no-one can truly appreciate what you and your kin are feeling, even today. Everyone says that time is a healer, but it never really heals the gaping wounds caused by the loss of someone very special, yet it will narrow them and lessen the pain. Even after many tens of years there are times I am vividly reminded of and miss my parents. But mostly I now smile at those moments. Treasure all the memories you hold, and celebrate your Mom's life every day; I'm sure you do. Think on that nothing goes away until it has taught us what we need to know. What that is and when we learn it will be a revelation to each of us.

Over the last 10-11 years I've lost everyone on my father's side, two people on my mom's side (grandmom and uncle)..all due to cancer, and my sister (suicide) was the most recent one this past Easter. Big hugs man. It's rough going through this. Please know, your mom is proud of you and your decisions and accomplishments. You do great work and you're thoughtful and very meticulous. Which is hard to come by these days with most people. Maybe at some point if I'm ever down that way for vacation or something, I'll stop through and say hello, have a beer or something if you have time, talk all things cars, show you my ride..etc. Ive Been following you and cleetus for a while now. Definitely something you never get over, but over time you learn to live with. Sure she's looking over and couldn't be more proud of you. Big love man

Kevin, you sell yourself too short bro. My first memories of watching True Drag Cars in the works, was through you and Cleetus. You being the one that worked on Mullet, and Ruby, I thought, this guy is the man. Hence why I'm so eager to see the progress on your Cutlass! Much love to all the mom's out there!

Having brunch with my parents today. I will swill a big ol' glass of orange juice for your mom as well. Way to make it out of the darkness Kevin!

Do you think old Cleetus knew how much you appreciate his actions when you were having a hard time before this video? My wife died around the time I started watching Cleetus and KSR. I just came here to try and express how much your guy's content meant to me when I was going through a hard time in my life. It was the escape I needed. Still watching by the way. 👍

Great to hear your story and how Cleatus reached out. Really shows how you both are great dudes. I lost my mom 28 years ago so every Mothers Day has some sadness but I make sure I also remember the great times with her. Always look forward to your vids!

I always say you never fully grow up until your parents pass. My parents are in their 80's, very fortunate.

I feel you brother. I lost my Dad to cancer in 2020. His passing was sudden to. Me my Mom and sisters were by his side when he passed. It tore my soul out watching him take his last breath. So take one day at a time. It does get easier.
