When people take pride and do things the proper way is hard to come buy anymore I am one of those people that take great pride in what i do. i have heard many times in my life from people and bosses when I'm working or doing what ever I'm doing "you arnt building a piano" implying to hurry up and just get it done regardless of looks and function. So i quit working for people and started my own business so can do things the proper way.

I appreciated the fit of the dashboard. Never underestimate the power of envelopes and cardboard 😂. The dashboard screen is either on a slant to maintain the curve in the whole thing, aesthetics, or to minimise internal reflections: practicality. I am guessing, of course. We'll see what your dad makes of it later. There certainly is an interesting mix of materials and fixing methods. Good to watch. Regards, Stephen.

You have a great team, with fabulous rapport. "There's more than one way to skin a cat" is an American phrase from the late 19th century, but probably has its roots in "There are more ways to kill a dog than hanging", included in English naturalist John Ray's 1678 "Collection of English Proverbs".

Kevin does amazing work. These are the skills that save lives. Steve is the skills that makes em go stupid fast. Imagine back In The day when all these things were experimental and being figured out and it took a tiny rail car to do a 7-8 second run with what was available for tech olgy in the 60's. I love drag racing history. The dragster with the engines in front of the divers.. Cammer ford's and hemis ruled the tracks. But hat an era. Always wished I was born in the late 40's.and a teenager in the late 50's. The tooling we have now didn't exist.. Peak of America when we awere still free.

Silica bronze brazing, whether torch or TIG, is actually the best process to use for joining dissemilar metals, whether different alloys or sheet/plate to tube. If you read any welding book it'll tell you that, it's also the best rod to use for attaching the first piece to header flanges as bronze withstands thermocycling FAR better than steel or stainless do and won't crack anywhere near as easily.. Which is why the Super Comp Hooker header flanges are still TIG brazed. Personally I think that if you know what you're doing brazing is a hell of a lot stronger than people give it credit for, especially in a situation where you want some give to it.. I mean look at how many decades Top Fuel/Funny Car frames were brazed before TIG became commonplace. Hell Moto GP frames are STILL brazed, often with gas not TIG and look how few of those have ever snapped a frame... even in some really bad wrecks. Kevin, I know you love your tools, let me introduce you to one that'll make your sheet metal fab SO much easier.. Get yourself an air nibbler. While kind of loud, they are really fast and chew through metal FAR quicker than an air saw or the old fashioned sheers that roll up what it cuts out. These just take a little crescent moon shaped bit out over and over and go super fast. Finnegan actually has one (not that he ever remembers it) and loved it.
