My husband bought a Frenchie male last year (as his companion) and his Frenchie has shown an interest in guarding and protection training with my guard dog Nugget ( 10 yr old female collie/Australian shepherd mix). I'm just going with it! He enjoys it and his new job is guard dog! Go protection Frenchie's!!!

Honestly french bulldogs are scary af when angry lmao...they bite HARD for their size, once they attack they don't stop, you can try to kick them they'll come back for more and most of their weight is just muscles...little scary gremlins 😂.

I don't think they are abusing the dog. It seems really determined. Watch the YT video of the Frenchy attacking a black bear on the dog's front porch. Frenchy's can be very protective. They would never be able to train certain dogs like a Pug.

My frenchies is about 14” tall 22” in length. He can jump up to an adult males face and bite you if he feels threatened. He also weighs 35 pounds of pure muscle. Their jaws are structured similar to Pitbulls soo once they lock they lock

I didn't think Frenchie's had it in them to be attack dogs. I'll tell you one thing, they are excellent watch dogs. Also my Frenchie stops to look around for cats without a sound before she chases them. The cats don't even know she's there yet, dumb cats, lol, she's very intelligent.

Teach him a command so he'll let go on his own so you're not pulling at his hips or letting him flail in your arms...Also these breeds have a hard enough time breathing as is and you throwing a leash on and letting him pull and choke himself while he's already struggling is not cool. Don't teach a dog to be aggressive if you can't control the behaviour.

I would not advise training frenchies to protect. let me explain, my frenchie does this all the time when he gets fresh. He'll come from behind me and pull my shirt and yes can knock me down. He does this also with the cuff of my pants where at times hes pulled my pants down lol.. The frenchie can only get a hold of your clothes they cannot latch on to body parts. They may bite you but its not incapacitating. It happens when trying to get a good grip of the clothing. Frenchies however can become very protective by nature, but they can also be hurt easily. So I rather stick with the big dogs

Moose enjoys this work. He may not make a huge impact in a "Real Life" scenario but is definitely a sufficient deterrent as he is trained to bark and engage on command. Moose is our personal dog, she he mainly does this for his enjoyment. He also has great manners so doesn't nip or tug at us due to control/effective obedience.

My Frenchie Malachi would bully and rule all my dogs. Had a pitbull who would hide from him whimpering etc. I finally had to separate him from all other dogs for his own safety. Loved people, hated animals. I tried everything to calm him down. Neutered him, put him in training of which they told me something was wrong with him etc. He was a bigger than normal Frenchie, my pitbull was a bigger than normal pitbull. I feared one day my pitbull would get tired of the bullying and kill him. Police k9 trainers told me he wouldn't listen to commands and was intentionally starving himself until I came to get him. He wouldn't even listen for rewards. He didn't want any animal around me and that was that. So I kept him with me only until he passed. I loved him so but not sure if I can handle another Frenchie like him. All my other dogs were easy and able to train. Not big Mal! We reached out to Cesar Malone but never got a reply. My Frenchie could climb trees, barge open doors with his huge head, jump very high as he watched my pitbull and others being trained and joined in on the gymnastics but not the discipline. Never!
