I used your calculator to figure out my daily protein needs, have been doing four days a week of resistance training along with walking daily and omg. My body is changing so much! Thanks so much for all of this information!

You are wonderful Autumn! Your videos and information are so valuable and I'm so appreciative. I wondered; could you slow down a little bit in your talking? I'm sure it's just me but I find it hard to keep up.

Training is going well; I am still struggling. Today is going to be the twelfth session after three years, day by day strength and endurance are returning :). I don't like soy at all, beans, however, I love. Plus, beans are part of the Greek traditional cuisine and soups with beans is one of my favorite dishes. Momma Autumn and daughter Sage are adorable :).

Thanks, loved hearing this! I have enjoyed watching your videos; lots of great advice & recipes. Sometimes I tweak the recipes but so far I am down 39 1/2 lbs in 6 months and still feeling great.

Thank you, if feels good to get back to pre-C weight; just got too depressed and into unhealthy eating being stuck at home and then I felt trapped in the weight.@@AutumnBates

I ate a lot of lean animal protein including soy/whey protein in between mixed with juice after work out. I lost 85 lbs on my own 22 years ago and still weigh 119.4lbs to date at 62. I believe since none of use share DNA, when it comes to weightloss one size does not fit all.

Thanks for K&F discount! I discovered drinking bone broth early in the morning right after working out. It sounds weird, but is very satisfying. If I don’t have time to make my own bone broth, I use K&F bone broth. ❤

Where would zumba fit into ths? I love a 60 minute zumba workout, it makes me feel great and I don't mind the sweat. I use hand weights during some of this as well.

Not sure if it's Autumn, who changed her tune a bit or me, who keeps getting deeper into the nutrition / metabolism / fitness weeds and now hears the same tips slightly differently 🤔. Regardless, what matters is that we set up the right habits and make them stay. Props to you, Autumn, for steering more and more people away from the SAD paired with a sedentary lifestyle while keeping a very positive vibe in the process! 💪

From what I have read, eating more protein than needed don’t effect the weight loss however eating more protein with more carbs will increase weight

Autumn, do you have any idea the diaas score of these protein drinks like Premier Protein drink? I have been using them , they say they have 30 grams of protein per drink but do not know if it is absorbable protein ...????? Thanks!!!!! How does one figure this out ????

I've done a lot of reserarch (no I'm no scientist) on these type of protein drinks/shakes because I use them as a base for my protein smoothie. I have found the premier is just "full" of processed chemicals. I like to use Fairlife protein. It's not processing free but better IMHO

14 servings per bag at 20g protien per serving that leaves a "whole bunch" of daily needed intake left over. Really. Even at a 150lb person it's less than 2 days worth. Sure not all should come from your shake but really. Thats alot of 40$ per month.

Even a 40g shake. That's a week. For a light dude. "Combined" protien isolate. Combined. Not pure protien isolate? What is the full " combination". Seriously. Just want to know what I'm eating.

😫I’m still confused if I’m using the protein measure on the Nutrition panel to get my protein serving or on the entire thing? Eg. The nutrition panel on the low fat beef mince says 21.3gms of protein per 100gms. I’m meant to have roughly 30gms per meal of protein each day. So do I just measure out 30gms of mince? Or do I measure out just out over 100gms to get 30gms of actual protein from the mince??? 🤷‍♀️

Hi! You want to use the grams of protein, not the weight of a protein containing food. For example, beef isn’t 100% protein by weight, but 100 grams of beef will CONTAIN 21 grams of protein. Hope that helps clear it up!

Dear komal. Forget bcaa. If youveat eggs its good. If not you can eat paneer or tofu. High quality is dependent on so many factors. It all boils to digestability.

I have a question: is there a way to help your body better absorb good quality protein besides betaine hcl/pepsin? I bet I am a weird case, but... I spent about 2 months eating roughly 100g of protein a day from beef and chicken (and some dairy). I also would take betaine hcl/pepsion with it to help me digest it. Then, when I went to get my bloodwork done recently, my results still said my protein levels were low. Not abysmally low, but still low. I was expecting my protein levels to have gone up dramatically compared to when I was barely eating any meat, but they barely improved at all. I don't know what else I can do to help my body meet its protein needs. Any advice?

It depends on your health history. It could be possible that the protein intake is still too low or perhaps the body isn’t absorbing it well. There are also other health factors and medications that could reduce protein absorption. You might want to check with your doctor to rule some of those out first.

Hold it...hold it...hold it...!? I was going to leave you alone until I heard something problematic. I'm going back, and listening again, and again, and again...to make sure I heard it properly, before I quote it. "resistance training, which is really any type of exercise that isn't cardio". Where did YOU go to school? Mom and dad paid? You never really studied the history?...got no clue?, but are jumping online to make a few bucks...?

You can gain weight with adding protein to your diet even in a caloric deficit?

@@LayoWills Yeah, but probably not much. The extra protein combined with resistance training will add muscle while the deficit will cut fat. Muscle is heavier than fat so.. yeah.
