Recipe ✨
Cooked chickpeas along with the water (divide in half) - 1 cup
Add half of the chickpeas
Pepper - 1 tsp
Cumin - 1 tsp
Garlic - 5 to 6 cloves
Dried red chilies - 2 to 3nos
Lemon sized tamarind soaked in water
Tomatoes- 1 or 2 medium sized
Grind coarsely
Transfer it to a pot
Add the Other half of the chickpeas with the water
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Asofoetida- 1/2 tsp
Handful of Coriander leaves chopped
Crushed shallots - 2 nos
Salt to taste
Water - 2 to 3 cups
Bring to boil, when it starts foaming let it boil for 2 mins in low heat then pour the tempering on top and cover it for 2 mins. Then mix it later.
For tempering
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds- 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Green chillies - 2 (chopped)
Curry leaves
