Stan worth here. Just being visited by a Prothonotary Warbler at my backyard feeder this week 4-22-22. He’s feeding on a peanut log feeder I’ve made for preformed logs. A lifer for me so I share your nerd enthusiasm for this sweet bird.

I didn’t realize how lucky I was to see a prothonotary warbler in my own backyard until I watched this video. I got all excited all over again.

That's amazing. That swampy habitat is exactly like Parvin State Park in NJ, the only sighting I ever had of the Prothonotary

It was really great watching this bird in his element, not realizing the kind of commotion he was causing with us birders!

Thirteen and a half hours. Stab me vitals! Family and friends think I'm barking mad walking 15 miles/7 hours a day - but I'm shooting wildlife and macro stuff, not just birds. Well done, I'm impressed: and I really enjoy your videos and images.

Tremendous post guys... You left me no choice, lol!, I broke out my Nat Geo Complete Birds of North America and I found the Prothonotary warbler. It is indeed endangered in Canada... Have never seen one here in central Vermont. The dist. map shows them primarily below southern New England, out mid westward & south... I do have numerous warblers around my area, but not this guy... 684 & 685 shots taken, wow... You must be nerds... On a good day of bird hunting, I might shoot 75 images, narrow them down to 20 or so, & if I'm real lucky, get a keeper or two... Bill Farr... :-)

Love your stuff! Constructive criticism, you center almost all of your subjects which I get because a lot of it is small. But some times you get close enough or farther away to be thinking about composition. I have the same gear and it excels at birds in flight, surprises me greatly that I haven't seen flight pics from you. I realize your'e birders and IDing the birds is what your'e after. But take a few in flight shots and you will be hooked.

Just curious to ask, have you been or are you planning to go down to Grimsby, Ont. to the Beemer Memorial Conservation area for the Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch sometime between March and May? Or do you catch the returning migratory birds elsewhere?

Hi Guys! Just saw the video. Great job! I see that it was published on Feb 3, 2018. So what time of year were you there? Obviously it is all covered with snow right now.

Hey Steve - ah yes, this was filmed in May of 2017. We were a tad late getting Day 3 up on the channel. Thanks for watching.
